Test Pipe

Finishing up my car performance wise in a few weeks. I got the top speed y back with some generic 2.5 inch y pipe. I was planning on getting the Z1 test pipes for the VHR. Has anyone tried these? If so are they any good, these seem to be pretty well priced when comparing it to motordyne test pipes.

Test Pipes V HFC

I started my exhaust journey with the typical muffler delete, it sounded good. But I realized there was so much more to do. So I went for broke complete cat back to include R&R of the cats and replaced with Z1 test pipes, the Meagan Racing Y-Pipe, Top Speed Cat Back exhaust. At this point it was so loud I could not put up with it. The worst thing is the BB's in a can sound at WOT . So after that I swapped out the Test Pipes for HFC from Z1 this helped for the overall sound out the tail pipe, but the BB's in the can up front did not go away. Have you experienced this issue? I am thinking of swapping complete exhaust to Fast Intentions cat back with a X-Pipe cross over or the
Invidia Q 300 I have heard good things about both exhaust systems.

Good luck

Dang I definitely don’t have that BB In a can issue you have. I was planing on going test pipes and a tune because my car is quiet IMO, I was thinking since I have resonators and the mufflers it would Be just the right amount of loud.
PS I heard the Invidia systems are very quiet. So that might be something up your valley!

Considering you have the same exhaust I had. Listen to my video and see what your opinions are. If you like it, I'd go for Motordyne y pipe with resonator section. I had non-resonated test pipes but with your HFC, it'll be slightly quieter.

Here's another video. This video compares the difference between stock cat and test pipes. But if you do go with FI exhaust, they do sound good. There's a couple on facebook market place for sale.

The motordyne rez y pipe goes sound nice, but for almost $800 Canadian I don’t really think I wanna spend that much on a y pipe.

I completely understand. New they are quite expensive. I got mine used for $350, so maybe $500 CAD.

You think i should go for resonated test pipes then? I see fast intentions sells them for a okay price.
