For about a week and a half to two weeks, gradually going from here and there to almost every time I drive the car its shifting has been strange. It will for one shift very roughly. The car will lurch forward and a large thud noise is made every time as well and I can feel it. Another thing is that my car goes into first gear around the same rpm, second at around the same as before, and then going into the third one it will go as high as 3400 rpm and then jolt back down and my car will slow down on its own. Another thing that has happened a couple times is that whenever I’m slowing down and come to a stop, or come to a stop and am about to go again my engine will just shut off. I’ve tried changing my transmission fluid but that did nothing. Has anyone had this problem or have any ideas of what could be going on ? Vehicle is Automatic

this happened to my car too, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ … buuut, my valve body needed to be replaced so maybe yours is failing too?

Vehicle is Automatic *EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED* - All I needed to do was replace my cam positioning sensor and that was just a 2 minute swap
