Post 7AT Reflash problem

Hey guys, I got my 09 G37xS 7AT-Reflashed a few weeks after it came out.

I STILL get a harsh 3-2 downshift...feels like a quick/split second jerk....but not always...The 7AT has a mind of its own.

HOWEVER: The TSB did say that it addresses the 2-1 downshift...which I never had a problem with...lol. So now...in the morning when the tranny is cold it seems to wait until the last second to shift to 1st from 2nd. Example: I'm comming up to a stop sign after leaving my house, maybe going 20mph. As i slow for the stop sign, the car is basically holding 2nd gear until I'm down to 1 or 2 mph, so as I creep through the stop sign and start to accelerate, its still in 2nd gear, then shifts to 1st, which gives the feeling of being not smooth since the rpms have to make a quick climb with little gas input. Does that make sense?

Related to above, I've noticed that if I shift my car in to N when rolling into a parking space at say 5mph, the car will jerk as if it doesn't want to come out of gear. It doesn't happen at 10 or 15mph or at 1 or 2 mph when in my driveway.

I blame the reflash!

Also, the "flare" issue is not totally gone, but less so.

I get the same thing..... It's another 7 AT tranny quirk ! See the other threads on the Transmission. You're missing the Party !

Exatly on the Neutral Issue. I used to do this all the time with no problem when rolling into my parking spot at work. Now...i get a clunk unless going fast or crawling at 1-3mph. Something is up with that 2-1 downshift and it's most certainly b/c of the reflash.

why would you want/need to shift to N while rolling into a parking spot?

Nah...you guys are missing the point. I don't want to start an internet war...hehehe.

But yea...any auto should be able to just disengage from Drive to Neutral with zero drama. Post re-flash, there is drama. It feels like a rough jerk as you pop it comes out of gear. Never was like that before. I was mentioning that to show the link between the delayed 2-1 down shift when cold. Nissan engineers need to work on another TCM program..period.

BTW: I actually ordered a 09 G37S Sedan 6MT...but after 3 months of waiting my dealer told me "it was damaged in shipping". I basically got the runaround and needed a car right away since my Altima was long overdue for lease termination.
