Center console is completely dead
Center console is completely dead
I tried to install a new screen into my g37 but it didn’t work, when I put back the stock screen it wouldn’t turn on. I’ve tried everything I can to fix it and nothing will work. I replaced all my fuses, I bought a new screen and swapped it out, I put in a new radio transmitter and still nothing. My AC controls don’t work either so it constantly runs without me being able to turn it on or off. The only button that works in the entire console is the hazard lights button. I’m so confused and lost, has this happened to anyone and how did you fix it.
Have you tried disconnecting the battery and letting the car rest for a few hours? Aside from that, it sounds like you have a broken connector or something isn’t seated properly. There’s really not much anyone can recommend besides going back and double checking your work

You can take a multi-meter and with the key in the on position, check the pins from the wire harness leading to the dash for power & ground.
If you’re able to get power & ground on the harness coming from the car to the center console, than your wiring & fuses are good within the car and you have a problem with the head unit itself
If you’re not able to get voltage on any of the harness pins with the key in the on position, than there’s something within the car that’s not making a complete circuit.
(If that’s the case, try checking the Fusible Link. It’s a junction point for all of the fuse boxes and usually fails when cars are accidentally jump started backwards)

I am guessing you would have removed the trim piece and the stack of components to change the screen? if so, then aother possiblilty i have learned from reading this forum over the years is that there are two identical connectors for one of the components, IIRC it is for the climate control and one of the radio boxes. Anyway, when these get mixed up it causes issues with the electrics. Might be something to search for on the forum as there will be pictures and explanations to help you figure out if that is your problem.
