AWD Light Blinking
AWD Light Blinking
Hello everyone,
I’ve seen this issue talked about on this site a couple times; however, I just want to make sure for my specific instance.
Today I got a tire swap over to winter tires (I run a staggered setup), previously I had 275/35/19 on the rear and 245/40/19 on the front. This time around I swapped over to 265/35/19 rears and 245/40/19 front, and after about 10 minutes of driving my AWD light started blinking (about once a second). I drove home and didn’t notice any issues, but I just want to make sure I can continue to run this setup for the winter or if it could cause worse issues.
So I am quite certain it is because of the rolling diameter difference. On most posts I read 3% difference prior to buying the tires, but now I’m seeing a lot of under 1% difference. My current ones are at a ~1.5% rolling diameter difference. Could this cause any major issues and is there anything I should look out for?
Thank you.
