you can swap in any VQ37VHR from any year 370z, G37 (rebadged Q40 and 2014/2015 Q60), and 2014/2015 Q50, and Q70.

if you are buying a rwd engine, just swap the upper and lower oil pans from your old awd engine. Everything else is good.
Depending which engine also, you may have to swap some accessories.

It’s AWD so I wouldn’t have to get a new tranny because it’s new engine?

no need for a new or another transmission, it’ll bolt up to your current

Is the sensor location and wiring harness the same also? And would my g37 ecm and pcm work with this new motor?

Quick question:

Working on a swap in my 2009G37X. I bought a donor 2012G37X engine for the swap. Everything is going fine until hit the O2 sensors. The 2011 and up O2 sensors and plugs are different.

Is it possible to cut and splice the plugs from the 2012 O2 Sensors onto the 2009 wiring harness and use the newer O2 sensors that the 2012 use?

Other option would be to try to swap the newer 2012 O2 sensors with the older 2009 sensors from the old engine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help!

you should be able to spice the wires. It'll be the same, its only the plug that's different.

its defintely easier to reuse your old sensor.
