Angry 2013 G37 IPL Sub-frame bushing

Dealer told me I will need to replace the sub-frame bushing, stating it is broken and leaking. Dealer wants over $3k as they replace the entire sub-frame as part of the repair. I heard this bushing issues has been a common thing with Infiniti's. If I do need to replace the entire sub-frame was thinking is there a better/performance sub-frame aftermarket available that I should consider? Also, could I just have a non-dealer just replace the bushing and not the entire sub-frame? Any suggestions? Thanks

Infiniti unfortunately does not sell a replacement bushing and requires you to replace the complete subframe.

There are plenty aftermarket options which are significantly better than OEM. You can't go wrong with any of them. Any shop should should be able to do this for you however it will be a few hundred bucks of labor. I'm sure someone here chime in and let you know how much they paid. Also, if you wrench on cars it shouldn't be a problem doing this at home however it will take you most of the day. There are plenty of youtube videos on how to replace the bushing on the 370z or G37.

Thanks RobC7 ... I will see if I can find a local mechanic to do the work, as I don't have all the proper tools to get the job done. Just don't see spending $3k at dealer for this. Thanks for the video link....

You can cut and drain the bushing and replace with epoxy for about $15 - 20 and 20 minutes:

Not a 100% fix but good enough to fix the issue until you make a decision.
