Air Filter Housing (driver side) & MAF sensor

I need to replace Air Filter Housing and MAF sensor on driver side. Would you be concern if MAF sensors and/or housing differ in brand one bank from the other? Is Rock Auto a preferred vendor for G37 parts here? Others? (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...444678&jsn=335).

They don't seem to carry MAF sensor but found this on ebay (OEM MAF Mass Air Flow Sensor Meter for Infiniti Nissan Altima Murano G37 SUZUKIOEM # AF10141 / 22680-7S000) for $26.

Thanks.

I take that the reason why you need to replace the airfilter housing is because it's damaged?
As long as the MAF part number is the same it will work. MAFs are the same for both banks so you should be good.

Hey thanks for replying. Yes the b-nut on the air flow housing and the plastic on the MAF both were slightly damaged when I bought the vehicle 30 months ago. Since then I've had to clean the throttle and reinstallation has made it worst. I know when the vehicle needs a throttle cleaning because the engine sounds and feels a bit off, it had been doing it for about 4 days recently (a year since last cleaning) but then it got crazy misfiring and shifting was off, funny thing is there was no engine light or codes. So I cleaned the throttles, MAF's and 3 relearn procedures per Motorvate's DIY and back to 650rpm on idle, sweet I thought. Then I drove like 15 miles and coming back home it did it again, crazy misfiring and off shifting. This time I had codes(using a INNOVA 3100 computer): P0101(MAF Sensor), P006A(MAP Sensor Bank 1). After getting home I came here read some posts and it makes sense to me I probably have an air leak because after installation of MAF I noticed the MAF seating has gotten worse. My guess is vibration alone is probably enough for more air to get in and mess it all up.

Questions:
0. Besides Rock Auto are there other good online vendors for G37 parts?
1. Is bank 1 the drivers side? (That's where the bnut is messed up and MAF seating could be failing).
2. Infiniti wants $579 for driver's side air box assembly without MAF of course. My options as I see it are: Rock Auto (link above for $110), or ebay for about $60. My only concern here would be if air box from Rock Auto or ebay may not work volume wise or fit wise? I guess it's unlikely but possible, I see ebay lists some form other vehicles which are supposed to be the same?
3. Is this MAF from Amazon ok?

Amazing parts fluctuation and how dealers play with demand/supply. Same part from Houston TX. $144 + shipping. Was able to locate air housing from a yard locally for $100 and order MAF from Amazon.

Bank 1 is the passenger side.

If you want to save a lot of money, buy the air box and MAF from a scrap yard.
For example, my local yard charges $12 for a MAF and the air box would be $15. Might be something to look into.

I would rather buy a used Infiniti part, than a new non-oem one.

0 American Auto Export in Ft. Lauderdale they recycle G and Qs used parts and have boatloads of these airboxes
1 Bank 1 is the passenger side.
2 OEM airboxes are not worth being purchased new. With the amount of folks who do intakes there are PLENTY around and can be had for $60 per box.
3 That is the correct part for an aftermarket MAF sensor.

From the looks of it you have a unmetered air leak that could just possibly be the MAF leaking. I suggest you look on Car-part.com/ ebay/FB/ Offer up/ Craigslist for the Bank 1 airbox used. Most of these are sold with the MAF.
I suspect that your MAF is good and could possibly re used. The great part about finding a used unit with a MAF is that it will both be OEM parts and if your MAF ends up being good you now have an extra one that you could always use in case one craps out.
The MAFs in both banks are interchangeable and it's rare for them to go bad.
Unless you develop:
P0100 MAF sensor circuit
P102 MAF low voltage
P0103 MAF high voltage
P0104 MAF circuit intermittent

The your MAF is working however there is an un metered air leak that it is detecting.

Grifters say a lot of things when they're drunk. But yeah... I'd stick with OEM MAF sensors.

Hahaha...thanks all for feedback! As it turned out the box from a 2013 G37 at the yard was not the right part so ended up ordering from Rock Auto for a little over $100 plus about $25 for sensor, cleaned throttles and relearned procedures. Box and sensor were replaced on drivers side, of course in the process passenger side MAF was reseated. Will keep an I, everything sounds and feels right for now.
