Thanks for the reply. I found the leak. Where the upper seal "overlaps" the body "welt," water is leaking over the welt and dripping onto the floor.

SMH. Always something...

Infiniti is Nissan. Just a different badge. As far as your dealership not having those part numbers in their computers, not sure what I can do there. If you want to save 50% of your money, buy from Blackhawk. You can also find them online. Before replacing those seals, make sure it's not just your upper trim, if it's leaking behind the seal from above then the seal won't help. Read above regarding that issue.

Thank you. Just wanna make sure those part numbers you put in the thread fit a g37. I know Nissan makes Infiniti and some parts fit both. The lower seal and the triangle both came up at Nissan and Infiniti. The upper only came up at infiniti. I figured maybe it's because they are japanese and they have skylines which are Nissans. Maybe it's the same body style?
I read your whole thread a few times. Thanks for being so thorough. I've got water coming in at the bottom of the door towards the backseat and around the tweeter area. I saw where your issue was under the pillar cover. How do you remove it?
Anything thing I need to know?
If the parts surely fit I'm definitely gonna order from Blackhawk or Amayama. Probably blackhawk. Thanks

I have a 2012 G37 coupe. All those parts I mentioned were for my car. Upper pillar that's on the roof above the door is removed by unscrewing several screws under the upper door seal that you have to remove first. See in the photo where the upper door seal is hanging down? Then once screws are removed, it's held in place with push pins, gently lift up and they should give. Now I did not have tweeter leaks, but I replaced all seals just to eliminate future issues as they are all bound to fail. You need to narrow down where the water is coming from. Before tearing it apart, I suggest opening the door and pouring water in the upper pillar channel, not sunroof. No water should drip anywhere in the door area. It should run off behind front wheel and through trunk area down your rear bumper. If you see water coming down from behind upper door seal, you need to remove upper pillar and clean the water channel under it. New seal won't fix that.

I will do that. That's been my problem trying to find out exactly where it is coming from. I have the whole passenger side disassembled and passenger seat out. I have sat in it twice with someone spraying it with a hose and only see where it's coming in the car. I figure it has to be up top so probably the upper seal but I will try what you said

Also check the doors, they too have drains on each side. Open the door and pour water on the window facing outside, window has to be up. Watch for water, it should come out from the front and maybe bottom door drains. If it's also coming from behind your door panel you need to reseal that area. I had a leak in the woofer area, water would accumulate on the kick panel. After pulling the door panel I sealed the woofer with clear silicone and it fixed that leak.

Just to add my experience regarding the A-pillar trim piece... be sure you remove all the screws first before prying the trim piece up. In my case I missed one and, thinking the pushpin was being stubborn, yanked on the trim and it snapped in two like a twig.

However, once the A-pillar trim is removed, you will be surprised the amount of "crud" that accumulated under there- especially if your car sits outside. After cleaning the channels (and getting a new A-pillar trim piece from Japan) my leak has officially been solved.

Just exercise caution removing these plastic trim pieces. As they age they get very brittle and replacements are VERY hard to find (and NOT cheap). I learned that the hard way...

Poured water on top between sunroof and a pillar and it is going behind the seal and coming out by the speaker in front. Tried the door it's not leaking. Just have to figure out where the water toward the back bottom door is coming from? Maybe the leak is just coming out in two places idk but when it rains it leaks fast back there. Do you remember how many screws are in the pillar?

Gently pull the upper door seal away from the body, under the seal you will see a shiny piece of metal that's not your car's color. That metal piece is what's holding the a pillar trim in place, in it you will see screws, you need to expose that metal completely to reveal all screws. I did not count how many, but they will be hard to miss if you remove the upper door seal. Once you remove it, you will need to clean the roof channel well, especially where it meets the windshield and rear window.

How do you reattach the upper seal after you have removed the pillar cover? What should I use?

If you're referring to the adhesive then you can use this:
Amazon Amazon
I bought it before I took mine off during a-pillar disassembly but did not use it because the seal is largely held in place by the rail on the a-pillar bracket, the glue is mostly in the upper left corner (for right side). Since my seals were new, they were sticky enough after removal so I did not use any additional sealer/adhesive in that area. Once again, the water should not be coming down from the a-pillar roof channel, when you pour water with the seal off, the area where the seal goes should be dry, make sure of that. Otherwise it's going to leak again. The upper seal is for the window only, and not for the roof drainage.

Aurieg I'm gonna try to post a couple pics tell me what you think. Do I need to replace the door seals? I had a dam of dirt like you. If so do I need to remove the double sided tape and use new tape or just glue it? Are those two indentions in the body normal?
