Yes, only the STI in Limited trim has a no-cost lip spoiler option. It has to be ordered that way from the factory. I believe it’s just the same spoiler as the WRX.

There are multiple Subaru enthusiast websites (and even Facebook as well) that host WRX/STI trunk swap threads. Lots of WRX owners want the tall spoiler apparently.

You don't actually have to order it, plenty of dealers have them in stock if you search through the listings, although it's certainly not as common as the winged version.

Oh I know they’re around. What I meant was that it is a factory option not a dealer-installed one.

I've never been a huge subby fan. Between the looks and every boy racer around me has one just really turned me off.

I don't know. Something about the new front fascia has really been catching my eye; I've definitely begin taking a liking to them. Doesn't hurt they're arguably the greatest sounding 4-cylinder....ever.

I would have only ever considered the hatchback until the 2015+ sedan design came out. It’s grown up a lot inside and out.

Front fascia is 99% there. Reminds me of the X Evo.

I'd just like for somebody to explain :

It looks solid and doesn't do anything aesthetically.

Subaru claims there are holes in there for brake cooling, but it seems pretty weak if so

All We'll Drive: 2018 WRX STI Changes

At least the aftermarket already has replacements that include fog lighs:

OLM Complete OEM Style Fog Light Kit - 18+ WRX* / STI* - 15+ WRX

Aggressive enough to draw in enthusiasts yet subtle enough to not be polarizing. I dunno, I think they nailed. Bug eyes were a like it or hate it look, hawkeyes were a bit better but looked like it had wide 'jaws' if that makes any sense and the grille reminded me of a bull's nose ring for some reason. Saw some I liked and some I didn't.

At least they didn't do the LED strip/slashes/bulbs that everyone seems to be implementing now coupled with the XXXXL grilles (looking at you Q50...)

Just looking at it I'd remove or modify to open them up a bit more. Too Civic TR for me as they currently sit.

Wow they're subtle. Just looked again and didn't even notice them tbh.

As for the Q50 I was referring to this large and in charge pair of braces.

They're sexy yet an STI is playing it safe...they're damn near identical headlights.

This made me think of my fianceé's car. She has a 2012 Lexus IS250. It has the anemic 2.5L V6 and is incredibly slow compared to my 2012 G37xS, but yet has functional ducts that scoop air from the front grille and feed it to the calipers.

In terms of the tech, I think the Lexus has us G37 guys beat, hands down. Her car illuminates as you walk up to it, and as soon as you put your hand in the door handle, it unlocks, no buttons to press. It has a shift light feature using the tach. You can set a particular rpm and once you hit it, the tach turns red telling you to shift.

Oh, and not that it's a huge advantage, but it's direct-injected.

Every time I drive it, I'm secretly envious of these dumb little things. It's what made me actually start looking at IS350s and the ISF. The Q50 RS has me intrigued though.
