Any luck selling G37?
Hey everyone, was just wondering if anyone had any luck selling their G37 ?
I got a 2011 G37XS coupe, black on black with nav, 60k miles and clean title. Haven't had much luck selling it online. I'm asking $16,000. Is that too much? I bought it for $28,500 tax in 3 years ago. It also took me 4 months to find it as the X with S package was a rare option. Let me know what I should do. Maybe there is other alternative sites or ways to help sell the car?
Thanks!

He said it took him a while to find that particular car since the Xs package is rare.
My suggestions are to list it on auto trader, car guru's, as well as the various Infiniti forums and make sure you have quality photos even if you have to pay someone to take them. And make sure the car is problem free, in good mechanical condition and doesn't need anything.
The other option is to take it to Carmax or other dealer on trade-in.

Totally what Ape said. My last G was a red on black 2007 G35S sedan 6mt--first year of the new body style--and it had 66000 miles on it and I sold it in 2012 for 19000 in like 2 weeks.
lots of good pictures and good descriptions are a must and a car like that has to be on the big online sites like autotrader to get a decent price.

my last G was a G35 6MT sedan. had no problem selling it. i researched other local listings or comparables and priced my vehicle accordingly based on its condition and how quickly i needed to sell.
i ended up selling the G35 in 1 day to the first buyer who showed up, and for well above average private-sale market value based on the excellent condition, vehicle history, service records, and rarity of the 6MT sedan. in my area almost all sedans and coupes are X models. i determined that the rarity of my RWD 6MT sedan worked to my advantage, which of course the dealer will say otherwise to devalue the trade-in assessment. they say "it's hard to sell", and then will list it as "rare!" if they get the trade-in. i guessed correctly.
dealer trade-in was $10k (!) at the time. i got $16.5k after listing at $16.9k. average private sale value was ~$15k. i didn't wait for the next buyer to create a bidding war since guy #1 was solid, and he was the CFO for a local golf course so i scored some 'extras' on the side. deal worked for me.
like Rollo says above, a well sorted ad with good pictures goes a long way to market the car.

I used to sell a lot of cars a few years ago. What i learned was that it doesn't really matter what you are selling. There is a demand for basically everything. post a link to your for sale ad. Maybe you need some salesmen tips haha.

Like others have mentioned. Take to CarMax to see what they offer but be warned they low ball like crazy. This might give you an idea of the real value. Also check KBB. I just looked up my 2010 G37S at with 79k and it is worth almost 12K private party. Trade in around 10K. It think this is optimistic.
