Does this front bumper look off to anybody else?
Yep, that sounds about right for an 18 year old insuring a luxury 330hp 2dr. When I turned 20 and got my g37 coupe State farm was trying to charge me $9,000 for 6 monthes. I just worked it out with my dad and got covered under him. When you're self insuring under 25 dont expect to be driving something nicer than civic si coupe
The 370z is pretty high up in the insurance accident claim chain along with the Evo. So the G37 coupe is no stranger to insurance companies. Surprisingly Miatas are pretty cheap to insure but you did mention a need for awd. Wrx/Sti is also pretty expensive to insure for someone under 25. I think the Audi TT Quattro is farely cheap to insure if you can find one. Also, you can significantly lower your insurance premiums by being a safe driver with no tickets or accidents for two years and register for the good student program by having a 3.5 or higher gpa in college.
asked my aunt. she was able to get it down to 650 with progressive (hence why i was thinking progressive from the beginning) that stills seems pretty high though. dont think i'll get anything lower. that of course was with the whole coverage in case someone burglarizes my car (breaks window) theyll cover it or if im at fault for an accident and need a rental. i i were to get rid of these two options and just go with comprehensive and collision how much do you think it would lower? also doesn't help that carmax only allows up to a $500 deductible on collision and comprehensive. otherwise id definitely go with 1-2k each

im just looking at a 2013 ford fusion titanium at the moment if i'm not able to get a reasonable quote on the g. surely the ford should be significantly lower right? not technically a luxury brand, or a sports car. more of a 4 door midsized family sedan
Nothing wrong with the Ford. That cost, even at 650 is about right for the G but I'm happy you were able to find someone to help you out.
The Fusion has an aggressive look to it and plenty of creature comforts to provide some luxury. I4 should help out with MPG and it will get up and go a little bit being that it's boosted. It's definitely a Family Sedan and any of its competitors are worth looking into as well. The Taurus SEL, Chrysler 200, Cadillac CTS, Subaru Legacy and Impreza (not WRX), Lancer Ralliart (do not recommend), all populate when I do a search of <$16,000 and <50k miles.
Personally the Chrysler 200 jumps out at me. As a young man, that is a good/respectable looking car with a gorgeous interior that can be had for $15,000 with less than 30K miles. Is pretty peppy and is also AWD. Can't see the quote being astronomical if you tell the Insurance company it's a Chrysler....

Also OP have you taken drivers ed? Not saying that you can't drive or need it but it is a cheap way to get a discount on insurance, you should ask Progressive if you complete a drivers ed course how much that can potentially save you.
Just blows me away a little by the price but it is a 2 Dr. luxury car with 300+ HP like Yella mentioned. That was around my rate after 2 tickets but I also had USAA through my pops and I wasn't trying to get a luxury/sport coupe insured.
No i have not. But i dont know where i stamd with drivers ed when ive already got my license
Im gonna see if i can get the quote even lower by doing what i mentions previously about the vandalism coverage etc. If not ill see about the ford as its what im most interested after the g
