Who's Dashboard is melting/sticky?

Who's having problems with a Melting/Sticky dash?

When did it start?
How did you protect it?
Has Infiniti given any help with the problem?

Sticky top center

Not sure when it started because I bought a used G37. Noticed it when detailing the interior a month after the purchase. I have tried all the autoparts store cleaning chems with absolutely no luck and the stealership wouldn't do anything when I approached them for help, not even advice towards a remedy. I am considering some form of dash covering, if there is one available.

Oh no! I just bought mine used a couple weeks ago and noticed the dash was a bit sticky. I thought it was just the stuff they used to shine it up at the dealership.
My wife set a little cardboard box on the dash. When she removed it pieces of cardboard stuck to it.

I have this problem too. No cracks yet, but it's definitely sticky.

Mine is not sticky or melting but it is cracked. Small crack runs up the pass side air vent. Not sure how it got there. I bought the car in nearly mint condition. Its a 2010 Sport Coupe.

'08 and sticky with some small cracks..

I've been keeping it clean/protected with 303 Aerospace Protectant, as well as a fitted sunshade since I've owned it (July 2014). Unfortunately, I do not have garage access and it gets parked in the driveway.

I'm also losing garage access. Was planning to tint the car to try to save the dash. Something like 35% all around and clear (UV resistant) for the windshield.

try a little wd40 and rub it into the dash to see if the stickiness goes away. as far as cracks go, nothing will make that go away. there are dash/panel repair vendors out there that dealerships use to perform minor repairs and touch ups for dashes and door panel, that can be a cheaper option. if you guys want to put the blame on someone, i suggest the tree hugging feminists cu nts, homos, and du mba ss democrats that push for environmental protection from use of adhesives or materials that hurt the environment. materials and or adhesives currently used may not hold up to environmental factors such as heat, sunlight, and humidity.
auto manufacturers have no recourse other than adhere to all the demanding laws when it comes to assembling or manufacturing a car that is to be sold in this country.

I'll let someone else test the WD40 theory. Me, I'm just trying to stop it from getting any worse.
