Who's Dashboard is melting/sticky?
#34
I have 2010 convertible I just bought 1 month ago with 16,000 miles with a cracked dash. I have looked on line there has been law suits brought against Nissan/ infinity for these dash problems. I have sent corporate infinity email on this and they have no intention of stepping up like Toyota/Lexus did when they had same problem and replaced thousands of dashes. We must make a lot of noise about this to get them to step up and do a recall. I checked with a local Infinity dealer and the cost was a dash/$1700. And labor $700.

Lumpy I followed your advice ,and I have gotten no where on this either. I just bought my convertible 2010 with 16,000 miles with a lot of cracks. Dealer wants $2300 to replace dash.everyone that has a problem needs to make calls and emails to corporate. The lawyer I talked to said ( you got to make a lot of noise about this ).

My 08 dash was sticky, cracking along the vents and straight up melted in certain parts. There was a class action that was won by nissan altima owners. I think it would be an easier case to prove that the G37 is affected in the same way the altimas were.

2010 just sticky. Currently no cracking or melting. If anyone can find a solution great, but currently considering accepting its fate and getting it wrapped in leather when it gets bad (if that's even possible, I don't see why not).

My dash melting issue has stabilized, it's not spreading anymore. But the cracks have started showing up. Lots of them.
I've tried everything with the dealer, tried getting on two class actions and no resolution.
I thought about wrapping my dash before the cracks showed up. Now I think that would make things worse.
Looking on ebay for a used dash, but what's to say that one won't be on the verge of melting and cracking.
for now I live with it.
