Spring kit install..

Hey guys, so lately I've been all about lowering my couple and I think the Eibach spring kit is going to be the choice. However, I'm wondering if many of you have done this yourself and the difficulty of this job? If not, how much should I expect to pay? The quote I have so far was 600 for install and 100 for alignment. That seems like a lot to me. I'm in the Dayton, OH area and welcome all suggestions. Thanks.

If you are handy, its not hard. It's one of the easier suspensions I have done, especially the rear, straight up cake walk.

You are better off buying a socket set, jack, stands, renting a spring compressor from AutoZone, watching a couple of YouTube videos, and DIYing it yourself. A second pair of hands makes things a little easier.

You will use the tools for other projects.

Cool, yeah I was wondering about DIY and my pops would easily have the tools covered but he seems to think a lift will be necessary.

Hardest part of the front install is that lower shock bolt, a little pb blast, a 2 ft breaker bar and an open end wrench to back up that nut (IIRC it's 21mm) and you shouldn't have trouble. Once you get the front shocks off you can take them to a shop to swap the springs if you don't want to compress/change them yourself.

Pretty simple work, especially the rear, you literally take one bolt off and back on. The front is a bit more in depth. Follow what blnewt said and you'll be fine. If you must pay someone to do it, its less than a 2 hour job so don't let someone charge you more than 2 hours of labor.
