Hi i have 2011 g37 coupe journey white and have never done any moding on my car so I needed some help from you guys.
I bent one of my wheels hitting a curb and I needed a new one so I decided to go with a whole another set instead of the stock ones but i read a lot of post that said you should lower your car first for after market wheels.so do you guys have any suggestions for me for my budget? I also got new tires a month ago 225-45-19 front and 245-40-19 in the back do i need get a new set too for new wheels? Any goold looking wheels that would fit those?

 

Welcome to the forum Helmet! I would say with a <$2k budget I would get axle back mufflers, high flow cats, tint the windows, drop in K&N filters, mild lowering springs and keep the stock wheels.

Well with that budget, you're either going to only be able to afford a set of mid grade wheels by themselves, or just order one wheel on ebay to replace the broken one, and get several other mods done. Just depends on what's more important to you. You can absolutely afford wheels by themselves but it'll look dumb with a bunch of stock ride height wheel gap.. Ultimately, do what you want though!

When it comes to wheels you'll find a plethora of opinions, but ultimately it'll come down to your own taste, after all it's your car and you stare at it the most. Take some time and peruse a variety of wheel websites, put in your car info and you'll see what is available, most will even filter out to Gold wheels if that is the look your going for. Once you find some wheels do your research on brand quality. Spending thousands of dollars you want to make sure your getting both style and quality. Even check the vendor forum here as there are quite a few who offer wheels and take good care of our members.

As far as your tires as long as wheel dimensions remain close to stock there shouldn't be any problem swapping the tires over.

Also just as a thought as I'm not sure where you are from, but if winter driving is an issue buy a replacement wheel and use the OEM set for winter and then buy a new setup for warmer months.
