"New" '08 G37 Journey

Hey all, excited to say after months of searching for exactly what I wanted I've joined the family! Made the road trip to VA to pick up a 2008 G37 Journey coupe 78k on her. Very well maintained, anything I should be keeping an eye out for at this mileage? Thanks for any input!

Welcome to the site, congrats on you new G.
At that mileage I'd look into a transmission fluid change, check your brake pad/rotor thickness, and your other fluids/oils if they haven't been changed. Throttle bodies should also be cleaned.

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the forum! Any pictures of your car? And as blnewt suggested, highly recommend doing a transmission fluid change as 1st on the list. Any future ideas for any mods?

There she is the day I brought her home before I washed and waxed, but it's in next to immaculate shape, previous owner was air force and clearly cared for it. Sounds like the consensus so far is to get right on that transmission fluid, got it! I'll check all the general stuff as well, then hop on the throttle bodies. Thanks so much guys, overall it seems like this model holds up pretty well, haven't seen any big red flags pop up in my research, very cool!

As far as mods go, I'm not going to go too crazy or anything, but I definitely plan on figuring out a few projects to work on. Anybody have any suggestions of some smaller things I can do inexpensively? Also, any insight on the best intake to go with if I wanted to take that route? Also thinking about some HFCs to start with? Any knowledge anyone can share from experience would be greatly appreciated!

I think 15mm or 20mm spacers will give the car a more aggressive look and help it feel more planted. Very inexpensive as far as mods go.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay? I just picked up a 2008 g37s in the same color.

Best intake to go for is Stillen Gen 3 and Takeda Cold Air Intake. The takeda is easier to fit Ann no cutting is involved, it's a single big filter instead of two filters that the Stillen has, Stillen is usually the one with better gains, for high flow cats well fast intentions resonated high flow cats is always a good choice!

Ended up landing at 14,500, my bottom line was lower than that but they had just put on brand spanking new tires and in my 6 months of searching I had never seen one in such great shape, so that added value for me and I kicked my price up to meet them in the middle. The interior is immaculate and the exterior is in really great shape. Previous owner was Air Force, and he certainly took great care of it. How much did you end up spending if you don't mind me asking?

Awesome, I'm taking notes on all of this, really appreciate the help. Great to have people with experience to point me in the right direction, tough to know where to start!

Sounds like a STEAL!

I paid $16.5k with 21,450 miles on her. Immaculate inside and out with the exception of some very small rock chips from our awesome NY roads lol.

Here are some pics I snapped

Shew! She's gorgeous! Congrats! It took me awhile to talk myself down from the 6MT sport, but I'm in the DC / Baltimore area, too much city driving and traffic sitting for my shifting leg to take, so I rolled with the Journey, other than that looks like we have twins! Haha, any plans for her yet?
