Changed my Transmission fluid. Shifts were starting to get notchy going into gear.

I think this is the first time it's ever been changed @ 60k miles.

The fluid came out a dark honey color. But once it was all in the collector, it was pretty dark brown.

I used Red Line MT-85 Fully Synthetic Manual Transmission and Gear Oil. Expensive, but good.

After driving it for a day, much of the notchiness into gears has gone away.

Even though it's a little early, I feel as though it's an overall improvement.

Did you use 3 quarts of the MT-85 or did you need a 4th bottle?

I put 3 in and had no run out whatsoever. I opened the 4th and started pumping in.

After about 2 pumps the fluid started running out.

I pulled out the pump fill hose and waited while the overage flowed out.

After a few minutes the flowing of the overfill subsided. I wiped everything off and capped it up.

Torqued everything down to specs and cleaned the exterior of the transmission.

So in my estimation, it took right around 3 1/4 Quarts of fluid.

You really need to make sure the car is level for this job.

This is the pump I used, from Harbor Freight. Was on sale for $5 dollars.

And of course you'll need a 10MM Hex Bit.

I reused the metal washer.

Took my car to the dealer for a phone/bluetooth firmware update.

Got the car back and was feeling industrious so I installed Z1 premium stainless braided brake lines and bled the system using Motul 5.1.

I installed a set of Hotchkis Swaybars and a CUSCO FSTB.

Hey, Ape..... what's the $ for the firmware update? And did you get the latest & greatest version?

The update was free as I'm still under warranty and I'm assuming it's the latest/greatest. The dealer said they've been having lots of complaints so it's a known issue.
