Got ready for the rainy season today - installed the splash shield for my Takeda CAI:



Although I really did not want to cut the support bracket on the bumper, the possibility of ingesting water through the intake petrified me so I had to do it:

After my battery died again, i hooked my battery up to a battery tender..

 

Original battery? Likely time to just replace it if it is.

 

Installed a Fast Intentions license plate frame today, cleaned my MAF sensors and prepped my cat bolts for easier removal. Next week, Fast Intentions resonated high flow cats are going in.

Officially became a member of the NAV Swap Club. Went from a 2008 Bose non-nav to a 2014 Bose NAV. Everything works perfectly except for XM, I didn't bother hooking up the antenna. I will never use it. As a added bonus, apparently the '08 Sport models came with the steering angle sensor so the guidance lines work!

 

I refinished the curb rash on my wheels and now they look just as gorgeous as they did when I first bought them!

 

After getting my new wheels I now avoid anything even resembling a curb, even if that means giving up that choice end space, just not worth it. And since I'm a geezer my curb judgement isn't what it used to be. My wife has also joined the "curbs are the devil" club.

i never park on end spaces just because of that.. i will walk further just to avoid end spaces lol.

Only time my wheels are threatened by curbs is when I have to parallel park. Otherwise curbs don't scare me.
