2013 gauge cluster problem

Hey guys, I m in need of help badly. My car was in accident and after purchasing it back from insurance. Recently found out infiniti will not cover any work under warranty. On the way home I have acquired a problem of center LCD screen in the gauge cluster is not working. Every thing in the cluster works and no lights blown or missing. I can see the light in the LCD but it doesn't show any information on it "press brake pedal to start." I checked all the fuses and none were blown (under the hood and by the driver door). I don't want to damage any panels by trying to remove the gauge cluster (prying where I shouldn't be prying or use excessive force), as there are no how to pic. Articles / videos on line. Can you guys provide any advice how to fix the problem or any good Tech savvy guys near Ypsilanti michigan wanna help? Thanks

Why would you purchase a 2013 vehicle with no warranty after an accident?

Trade it in for a new one

Just brace yourself for when you finally figure out what a salvage title voided waranty '13 G is really worth, even with all crash damage repaired.

The LCD display is only connected to the instrument panel cluster. If it is not working, I suspect the instrument panel cluster needs to be replaced.

Below is a link to the factory shop manual, look at page 27.

The entire factory manual can be found here:Index of /FSM/G37/Coupe/2013

A used cluster from ebay are around $100-150, but I don't know if you can just swap them in, since that is where the mileage is stored.

Either live with it, or use some of the money you saved in buying the car back to fix it.

Thanks sonic. It was my car originally and minor rear damage. Didnt expect the infiniti to remove the manufacturer warranty because of it. Thanks guys. It seems like i have to replace the cluster.

Could a cluster out of a 2011 sedan a/t work in a 2013 coupe? Also after replacing or before replacing it i have to take it to stealership? Thanks guys.

Yeah, after a vehicle is totaled there is a clause in almost any warranty that states it would void all future repairs. It sucks but a car that has been totaled could cause any amount of random issues down the road, hence your current issue. It sounds like something was knocked loose in the wreck and should be a free fix if you can take it apart and plug it back in. If not, I believe the clusters are the same size and you shouldn't need the dealership for anything besides the labor of the install since it sounds like you don't know what you're doing, no offense..

None taken. You gotta know your limits. I dont know if taking the cluster out is difficult. Can the cluster be taken out without taking all the plastic pannels off? Like few bolts under the steering column or the whole dash / center column needs to be removed? If possible can someone please post some pic please. Thank you.

Still trying to figure out how to remove the cluster. Anyone has any instructional pic or a video. This will be of great help.

I did. It shows to remove the whole instrument pannel and i wonder if theres a way to just remive the instrument cluster. I m being cautious and dont want to damage it. F.ing parts are so dam expensive even for the plastic clips. Appreciate your response.

Unless you are very experienced and have access to all the necessary test equipment, IMHO this is a job better left to the most experienced technician at an Infiniti dealer.
Go consult with the service manager for an estimate.
The cost might make you realize why a vehicle after an accident should only be used for parts.

I'm fairly certain you'll have to take a panel or two off to get it out. I don't think it would take a super experienced technician to do it since it's likely you just pry a few panels and use a phillips screw driver but, those plastic clips can be pretty brittle so it helps to know where to pry
