Ideally yeah I didn't ask him yet... I mean even if he welds it on I'm gonna keep it like that until I get more exhaust work done or put car back to stock and could just cut them off and weld the muffler back on I suppose right ?

Looks like a great setup.. Cost $150 more plus install price than what I'm gonna pay tho and also I want 4.5" tips not 4" that the aam comes with.

Aam has optional 5 inchers.
And if your even considering going back and forth between stock your stuckif its fully welded. Any way not trying to sell you on it just trying to help you think it through.
Plus resell of aam. Anyway best of luck.
Ill probably go with aam at some point

Maybe I am mis-reading and the exhaust guy is doing more for you but are you talking about a muffler delete - axel back setup for $280?

Dude a top seller that many people buy around here which is an axel back is the Top Speed Exhaust for 299.00 but they are out of stock so many buy the Manzo which can be purchased on ebay for 250.00....Manzo Stainless Steel Catback Exhaust Axleback Fits Infiniti G37 08 11 Coupe | eBay

Plus if you want to change things up in the future you can unbolt and sell the Manzos probably 150.00 meaning if you sell them in the future you actually paid 250.00 initial cost -150.00 resale cost= 100.00 out of pocket to you in the end...plus or minus. While a fabricated system goes in the trash..making you zero on resale and costing you 280.00. You spend less and sound better....unless you just want to be a loud as hell and sound like crap Imop...

Plus why if you have done all these mods in the past are you having some exhaust hack take off your muffler?...drive up on your rhino ramps dude oil those bolts there are only 4 detach from the hangers and your done ....I took mine off like in 10 minutes...

Now this makes sense! The AAM was $430 plus shipping but for $250 shipped and easy install and the 4.5 tips I'm looking for looks good..anyone have this setup? So this goes exactly where you takeoff the mufffler to the stock holes and bolts right up? Its basically made for a muffler delete instead of having a shop fabricate piping and welding on tips? Just wanna make sure I'm covered BC this car is completely new to me owned it 2 weeks.....and yes I overrspoke some when I said I've gotten a lot of muffler deletes on other Cars and loved the sound....it was 2 cars my 09 BMW 335i and before than an 04 BMW 330xi.....

Yep...go to you tube and type manzo and G37 videos are available. Should come with two new gaskets...and your good.

Also just a heads up the tips you were considering are on ebay for 70 bucks...so dont waste 130 bucks ...buy them there in case you dont do the Manzo.....Magnaflow Exhaust StainlessSteel Tip 4 5" Outlet 2 5" Inlet 5 75" Long | eBay

The only pain is the 4 bolts on the exhaust you will need to oil em up with PB blast or CRC Freeze off
Amazon.com: CRC Freeze-Off Super Penetrant: Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com: CRC Freeze-Off Super Penetrant: Sports & Outdoors
. The 4 bolts can get rusted on good...just spray them everyday for about 5 days while you wait for the exhaust. Use a wire brush to get them cleaned up too...I just installed mine (it was a tanabe) but its the same thing just more expensive... did it about a month ago and so if you need any help just PM me...

Plus every mechanics garage needs this...seriously used to struggle these things...takes a second....buy them at autozone or any autoparts place..http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lisle-Exhaus...906490&vxp=mtr

i figured my axleback would be an easy job, 4 bolts, done.
being that the car was only 2 years old at the time, they were REALLY seized up - THEY WOULD NOT COME OFF. PB Blaster, breaker bar, no dice. had to take it to a muffler shop.

Those are PER tip....so $140 to $134 price shipped I got....I am definately considering the Manzo axleback tho and cancelling those tips ordered as their due to ship tomorrow....I just want to confirm the Manzo fitment looks right coming out the bumper. Also I'm listening to some sound clips is it the metal used that makes it slightly less than a custom muffler delete that seems from the threads is a bit louder....?

I can! I have heard two different cars in my area with deletes and they sound like absolute trash! Overly loud and obnoxious, raspy, and the beautiful distinct exhaust note most coupe owners love is lost.

Different animal! As loud as a straight pipes V8 is its still a V8! they sound WAY different that V6's with any kind of piping. I think they sound the least crappy straight piped though.

i agree, its not a good sound. obnoxious and harsh. i really like my axleback - just loud enough, and sounds somewhat exotic.

i was mainly talking about the VOLUME ... it gets old after a while. surprisingly, not as loud as you'd think ... until around 3000rpm when the flap in the intake changed the intake path, and then it sounded like the gates of Hell where flung open!

The BEST, absolute BEST rust breaker is a 50/50 mix of Auto Trans Fluid & Acetone. Just mix it up in a spray bottle and you're good to go. This works 4x better than PB Blast. Just replaced my OEM Y pipe today and just sprayed them last night, came off w/ very little effort. Also used this on the demon bolts and the others when I put in test pipes a couple weeks ago.
Don't waste your money/time on anything else.
Here's a good comparo link
Penetrating Oil Showdown!!! | The H.A.M.B.

And here's the Beluga Axle back, should be similar enough to the TopSpeed
Beluga Racing | Beluga Racing Infiniti G37 2008-2013 3.7L Coupe Stainless Performace Axle Back Exhaust 4? Tips 2.5?
Might be even cheaper on ebay

Sounds like the Manzo and all those axlebacks aren't very loud compared to stock. I don't want it crazy obnoxious loud, but why are those sounding in the clips less loud than just a straight pipe axle back muffler delete?
