^ evil-g-nius sounds spot on based on my experience.

200 miles/tank sounds brutal, unless you are idling for hours on end. keep on top of the PM if anything is lacking. filters, fluids, TB's, etc.

i drive 90-95% city and very rarely see below 300 miles/tank. roughly 20MPG. most winter tanks go 320-330 before the light. i wait for the light to come on before refueling. summer tanks go 350-360. this is usually over ~15-16 hours of run time according to the trip computer. or a little over 3 weeks of my daily commute which makes sense as i average ~50-55 mins round trip a day. average speed over this period is typically 33 km/h (21 mp/h) for reference, so obviously mostly stop and go city traffic.

i'm 6MT for what it's worth...

Full tank for me is 276 miles in total, but I get usually 16.4 MPG... MPG is poor but you have to sacrifice for performance.

I’m a conservative driver (I gave up my heavy foot years ago) and the best I can do in the city is 15mpg. But it “jumps” to around 24 on the highways.

Throttle Bodies?

I always here about people mention cleaning the throttle bodies. Does anyone know if they're cleaned during any of the dealer services?

Try cleaning your MAF sensor as well. It's very easy and can't hurt to try.

How are y'all using the average mpg on the nav screen? I'm honestly too lazy to do the calculations, but I average 19 on the nav with mostly city, and honestly with Dallas traffic you can consider the highway efficiency out the window.

avg about 19.5 city and hwy. The stop and go kills me immediately after exiting the highway.

I am going by the computer...but I have a log I kep of all of my fill ups and I have calculated by that too and its pretty much the same. Maybe .2 off or whatever...negligable. I do know that city driving drinks the most gas even if it is not slow and go. These cars love the to stretch their legs on the highway and get the best mileage there. So if you do mostly city driving expect $hit mileage

This, a bottle of MAF cleaner will run you $6 bucks. Also, how are your filters?

I also keep a excel spreadsheet log and the math is close to the computer.

Mileage is excellent on the highway driving from NJ to Florida.

Four fill-ups to Florida and one fill-up with local short trips while in Florida.
Another four fill-ups on the way back to NJ

I have no complaints about MPG on my G

And BTW all my results are on regular 87 octane

How do you run regular without issue?

Because the computer adjusts for 87 octane

I ran tests on my previous 06 G35 with using one month 91 and one month 93 octane. My mileage fell using both. The dealer delivers all vehicles with a full tank of regular. Traded it in with 171796 miles and the engine still ran like new. Almost all vehicles can run on regular 87 octane without any problems. Don't believe all the BS on this topic.

Never put a drop of premium in my current G37S and never heard a ping

This topic has been discussed on a gazillion threads on numerous forums.
Most enjoy wasting money by giving it to the oil companies.

I enjoy saving it and spending it elsewhere
