I purchased a new chrome grill and plan on prepping/painting it myself to avoid the chipping issue. I've had it for a few weeks but just haven't had the time. Hoping to sand it tomorrow and coat in bulldog adhesive prior to priming/painting and clear coating.

Canada? Why not buy directly from the Canadian dealership? These grill go for dirt cheap in Canda. No more than $217....

I purchased mine from Oakville Infiniti for $217 + $18 shipping. OEM!

Ending up selling it however. Too glossy.

We have had no visible problems- perhaps the difference is our car is ALWAYS hand washed and hardly ever driven in anything but perfect weather.

This isn't an option here in the UK!

So, this weekend I plastidip painted the (very poor) midnight grille - looks great for now, just hope it lasts a bit longer then the original!

Mine is like new...plus if where you are driving, is causing this, what makes people think the OEM one would be any different...?

Where the heck did you find a lip for the newer sport model front bumpers? I have to get a new bumper for my car, and was probably not going to get another sport bumper because I could never find a lip. I was undecided between the common IPL bumper and the new Q looking bumper from Outcast Garage.

I'd like to post an update on this.

This grill on ebay is not an OEM Infiniti midnight grill. I was in a minor car accident about 4 months ago, and the body shop replaced this midnight grill with an OEM midnight grill ordered directly from Infiniti. I have been on many road trips and so far, there is not one single chip in this grill.
