Well I have had my grill for about 4 weeks and I am not happy with the quality. Is this an OEM infiniti part? My grill is covered in mico rock chips. I can clearly see the chrome metal underneath. The paint quality isn't as good as expected.

I haven't had any issues at all so far and think it still looks immaculate. *knock on wood* Take some pictures of yours for us!

Hmmm... I ordered one also. I wonder if I should spray it with an extra coat of clear before I install it.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here, but with the price for the grille, and the cost of clear coat, would you have saved money just paying for it to be wrapped?

Any unusual locations that you have driven it? How are you getting all these rock chips?

Mine is like new...plus if where you are driving, is causing this, what makes people think the OEM one would be any different...?

I have been driving on paved road surfaces, mostly highway. I will take pictures of the grill later today. The rock chips are about 1mm in diameter and scattered all over.

Wow! I ceramic coated my car a couple of weeks ago with Cquartz. I should have done the grill too.

Black Plasti dip holds up really well against rock chips.

Base/clear on the front of the car is going to chip regardless - especially without a catalyzed clear that's been baked.

The cost of clear is minimal, and I'm already going to be painting the wheels on my other car, so I'll have the materials and the 'spray booth' environment. The big advantage here is that it was cheap and it fits well, so I can play around with this one and still have the stock one to put back if it all goes terribly.

In a year from now, and going through a harsh winter, the grill will look like crap. I might put on the chrome grill again if it gets worse.
