How much is the required Y-Pipe
Is this and the Y-P significantly more difficult and time consuming to install than the sport exhaust?
Is it any louder than the OEM-Sport?

If you can change the muffler, you can change a y-pipe. It bolts to the bottom of the cats coming off of the exhaust manifolds and connects to the rear exhaust. If you get this Beluga system, you will either need their (longer) y-pipe or have a shop fab an extension. I did the later for $90 versus buying the $169 y-pipe.

The pipe doesn't add any sound, its just a marginally larger pipe (not squished like the factory pipe is). This system is going to be louder than the sport muffler, because the sport muffler is designed to be quiet. It's also going to be heavier than this system.

My muffler shop was really impressed about how well this system was built. Stainless throughout with good welds.
