battery and squeaking noise

Hi guys,

I have a 2011 G37x and it's been less than 3 months. Previous owner had it as a lease and car fax was clean.

However, recently whenever I come to a full stop - I hear a squeaking noise when I hit the brake? What could that be? Also it seems that I have to press on the brake half way down to stop. Is the brake wearing off?

And lastly - last night I drove to the gym, parked, came back to car after gym and it wouldn't start. I had to get the battery jumped. I took it to Auto Zone yesterday and the battery meter said "Good but needs charge" and it's at 35%.

I'm taking it to Infiniti Dealership on Saturday. Do I ask them to replace the battery?

Sorry if I should know these basic issues. It's my first car and I'm trying to learn what things to expect and not.

Yeah man just go ahead and pick up new brake pads, that'll surely stop the squeaking. And about the battery, look at it and check the number of CCA it produces...that was a problem I had, the previous owner replaced my battery with a weaker one and i had to go and get a new, stronger battery.

I have 11 months warranty left on the car - why would I not take it to the dealership rather than spend money on it to replace it?

Just wondering because it doesn't make sense when I have warranty left?

When it was time to replace the battery in my previous 06 G35 I priced batteries and the dealer was about $20 higher. I went with the dealer and got a 700 CCA battery.
Everything worked when I got in the car.
When my present G37S needs a battery I'll just let the dealer install it
