Can you recirculate the cabin air w/o having the a/c on?

absolutely! I didn't even want this option but the car came with it and I grew to love in both my cars!

no I mean can we recirculate the cabin air w/o forcing the A/C to be on. Meaning the fan running in recirculate mode when driving in polluted cities. So we don't smell, exhaust fumes etc.

In the G35, we cannot. In the Q50, we can.

I went from an 03 g35 sedan 6mt (still have it) to a 13 IPL 6mt and I don't regret it at all. The g37 is fun in its stock form I'm just on coilovers and it's just a beautiful car inside and out. They definitely stepped an already beautiful car aestetchically. My only "but" is that driving the 03 is still way more fun because I feel I'm more in control and driving the car, the new feels like it almost drives itself with all the luxuries idk it's hard to explain.

went from G35 coupe to G37 coupe...

G37 is more refined and performs better. Handling feel is much better on the Sport... and even better in the IPL

What I like about my G was the RAS, pop-up Navi, awesome stock exhaust tone on the 6mt and the stock Rays.

went from an 05 G35 that I loved and drove cross country twice, up and down the east, and west coast. i now drive a 2010 G37 and i have to admit everything is an upgrade!! the only thing i don't like is the seat being so narrow, and no headroom. i mess up my "do" almost every time. other than that love the new car.

Coming from an 04 G35 6mt and now with a 08 G37s 6mt it's a pretty nice upgrade. Like everyone else has already stated, it's just a better, more mature version of the G35. The only thing I wish is that I had nav in mine because I feel it just looks kinda "blaahh" without it, but oh well. I heard they aren't that good anyway. Lol. And I do agree with "sprix" about the exhaust note. Of course they sound similar, considering they are pretty much the same motor, but there's still a distinct tone that I can always point out with the G35 that I feel isn't as present with the G37. At the end of the day, I'm sure you'll love it and it will treat you just as well if not better than your G35.

I went from an 06 G35 to an 08 G37 last year, massive upgrade if you're into modding cars. If it's stock for stock, maybe it's different.

The G37 fixed all of the major flaws from the G35, the oil consumption, weak motors, it's tendency to run lean, and above all that god awful intake design where it goes all the way to the back and then does a constrictive 120 degree U turn, which makes the car fall flat on it's face above 6k rpm. G35 also had lackluster exhaust manifolds instead of headers, and adding headers is a long 2 day job in a tight, tiny workspace.

The intake design is much improved on the G37 with the new dual intakes with minimal bends, and also much better aftermarket intakes(Stillen Gen 3). The car comes with headers, stock. The stock exhaust is much better as far as flow and is dual piped from the Y back, vs the G35 which is a single pipe back to the muffler. The engine internals now take 550whp as a safe limit instead of the 400whp safe limit on the DE. The interior is leaps and bounds better, the plug in for the iPod is great, the 10GB built in hard drive, the tiny "illumination" light so you can actually see the shifter. The seats are 10x better. The hood also now has proper hood struts, instead of requiring a manual hood prop. The plastic intake manifold means less heat soak. The rev limit is now much higher since the car can actually breath. The lower control(or compression? can't remember) arms no longer have the issue where they need to be replaced every so many miles.

Also, stock BBK kit is fantastic as well, they stop pretty damn fast and look great.

In short, a throughly modded G35 costs much more to upgrade N/A, only to hit ~270whp. The G37 comes with 270whp stock, and the main N/A upgrades are only exhaust, intake, test pipes or HFCs and tune. With those I hit 323whp/276wtq and it revs up to 8,000rpm. The car absolutely screams, can actually breath at the upper limits, and after some handling upgrades(KWV1/Sway Bars) the handling is absolutely insane. Only downsides are the S doesn't come with forged rims anymore, and 6MT's can have a weak slave cylinder. However, if you want to supercharge it right away, you can without having to build the internals which is a godsend. The car is great overall, and a huge upgrade.

My personal experience with it. Also, I really didn't like the look of the G37 at first, but really fell in love with it after a while, especially after modding it. Looks much better than my G35 ever did IMO.

IMO G35 looks more apeeling to me, but the G37 powertrain just better. Handles more power, and now easier to mod.

Purchased my G37 for only a few grand more than my G35. Only what I part from her is if the Q60 came with a factory turbo kit. Which they should.

As of now they're no way I can see spending $50k on a new none boosted (G37) for double of what I have invested.

I went from the 06 G35 Coupe to a 08 G37 Coupe. For the most part the G37 had a lot of upgrades on the G35 (and remember the 06 was a significant mid-cycle refresh of the 1st gen as is), but I will list the things I miss from the G35 Coupe:

- Exhaust note: The G35 has a very distinct note, and its easy to guess one is around just by the sound (the old FXs also sound the same). The G37 stock exhaust is very tame and doesn't do the car any justice. However, I got the NISMO sport exhaust sold by Infiniti and all that went away. Car now sounds (and looks) as good if not better than the G35

- Infotainment Controls: The G35 has a metal (look?) finished stack, with ***** that were a heavy knurled design. The new controls are just black plastic/rubber coated ***** and buttons. Same goes for the steering wheel controls.

- Pop Up Navi: Though the screen on the G35 only displayed Map info, the pop up action was cool.

- Blind Spots: G37 has major blind spots on the drivers side compared to the G35.

- Gauges: I liked the G35 instrument cluster design, though the garish orange lighting was a bit much.

- Ergonomics: The G37 drivers side arm rest is way too low and uneven with the center console. I can never get into a comfortable position with my left arm. Don't recall having the same issue with the G35

- Wheels: Prefer the forged Rays over the cast Einkies

Hey guys being as though I still have my g35 I don't check this site often but omg thanks for all the info I was shocked when read everything. So since the last time I was on here ive decided that the g37 is the next car for me pending on test drives of it and a few others. I've decided I really want an awd coupe yes I know it won't have as sporty of a feel as my g35 and the rear end won't kick out the same but im not a racer from fast and furious lol I barely do all of that with my g35 so I don't mind losing that ability for more reliability in the snow. I also noticed that there are limited options for upgrading head units in g37s which is disappointing so I would want atleast a 2010 for bluetooth and then I decided to just wait and get an 2011+ at that point for the different bumper.
