Exclamation Can anyone ID the exact symptom?

I have an '08 coupe, and the driver side windshield gets foggy all the time it's like having thick moist on it even you are not driving the car and when i turn the windshield defroster on it still won't go away (heater and ac)? it works on passenger side only though. What does this sound like to you guys? Faulty heater core or could this be from the water left sitting in the ac because IT IS STINK! ic/snow storm just hit so....please do tell if anyone know whats going on. I need to fix this badly guys. Thanks.

Sounds like a leaky heater core. Check the floorboard to see if there is any moisture getting trapped in the carpet.

Is this something you can perform DIY? Taking the car to the dealership is so expensive as they want every penny out of your pocket.

Place your hand down near the floor where your feet rest, touch the carpet, does it feel wet? :-)

Allow to take what I said back from earlier reply. Yes, it is now wet all over the floorboard. So it is from leaky heater core. Is this something you need to replace it at dealership? You know how much this will cost me? Just texted my advisor earlier and he can lock me in on Thursday. And with this kind of weather it's gonna be pretty frigging challenging to deal with for the next 5 days before I can drop the car off. You have an '08 too? Any other common problems you ever had to deal with on your car bud?

Thanks man. Not sure if this will fix it since it's all over the floor now. I'm not a car guy but I can try.
