I have a 2008 Infiniti G37S Coupe and I have a iPhone 5S. I plugged in the RCA cable to play music and the quality was horrible and sounded like it was only coming through the left speaker. the cable is old though so.. and the screen was flashing and blinking black and white across the screen.

I was wondering if there's any way I can play music off my iPhone 5S and sound clear and good? Is there one simple cable to plug in my music and play?

should i get a new RCA cable?

 

are you sure you had the audio plugged into the white and red and not the yellow? That would explain errant signal to the screen and only one channel of audio working. Your best bet is (I believe I saw this) an adapter to go from the old iPhone connector to new iPhone connector and use the G37's iPhone port. That would be best for sound and you would be able to integrate with control through the screen.

 

I plugged in the yellow to the red slot and it worked. Thank you

 

The 2008 came with a special cable for iPod/iPhone .... any dealer can order it but yiou will need an adapter so it charges. You can goole that or search the forum. At some point Apple changed the pinout for power and it messed up some older designed cables.
