Exhaust and muffler systems

What would be the best companies' product for a 2009 G37S Coupe with 6 spd manual for a gain in horsepower and gas mileage? I absolutely do not want high schooler loud.

3rd Grader: How's high school Billy?
Billy Madison: High school is great. I mean I'm learning a lot. And all the kids are treating me very nice. It's great.
3rd Grader: Gee, I can't wait till I get to "hike" school.
Billy Madison: Don't you say that. Don't you ever say that. Stay here. Stay here as long as you can. For the love of God, cherish it. You have to cherish it.

I vote for resonated high flow catalytic converters and/or the factory Infiniti sport accessory muffler (different from IPL and Sport model mufflers).

You're going to pay $500-800 for each not counting installation cost.

Why not just stick with OEM? I think the stock exhaust is very nice, not offensive but has a nice growl. This is not a flame, I agree with you. When I hear these cars that are so loud and just sound like crap but the owners think they are just so cool. IMHO there is a fine line between aggressive and obnoxious.

I agree with 2008G-Man. Just leave it stock.

Your best mod for gas mileage is to get a Leaf or maybe a Tesla... You won't improve your fuel efficiency with an exhaust. Sorry.

The realistic gain in horsepower with only an exhaust mod will be very little to non existent depending on what you get. As far as sound the stillen exhaust isn't terribly loud IMO, also the greddy axle back is a simple yet somewhat quiet option as well. Brands you may want to stay away from as far as loud noises go are probably ARK, HKS, and fast intentions off the top of my head.

As far as gas mileage goes....hahahahahha sorry friend...

But whatever you do good luck and enjoy!

Agreed... Unless it's a V8.. those sound better louder, LOL! V6, not as good.

Generally, horsepower is inversely proportional to gas mileage. Just choose which one you really want to improve.
