IPL Black Series?
The IPL is a Sport model with some extra features for appearance. It's also tuned to make an extra 18 HP, and comes with a different exhaust.
For an OEM stock car, the IPL is better than the Sport model, so I think perhaps you're not being fair. I may agree that the price difference doesn't warrant the performance gains, but you can't say that there's nothing extra going on there.

So what you have left in IPL is just a way for Infiniti to make a buck off of people who know very little about cars and it's working moderately well. I can only hope that next Q60 IPL model will not be such a huge dissapointment.
^ not sure there. the 'R' grille badge, massive ricer rear trunk spoiler, 'Black Series' seat embroidery, vented hood as well as the IPL/Q60 badges are all tough to get past. i suppose a guy can swap out some of those items. there are a few nice touches here and there like the interior suede trim. but again, a new owner should not expect to pay value appreciation for all of that personal customization.

IMHO Infiniti does a lot of stupid stuff and I as an owner can chose to correct them to my personal taste.
Does it suck worse than the standard exhaust? Also, is it $2700, or $2700 MORE than the standard exhaust?
A lot of the words you've chosen and your writing style indicate to me that you're trying hard to minimalize and demean the IPL. Your motivation isn't clear, but you do seem a bit biased in how you've clearly knocked and belittle everything that they added which is better than stock (or at the very least different).
Or are you implying that it's all worse than the standard model? A step backwards...

Dealerships will say anything to sell a car, I agree with the "Being wrecked" statement , Someone has some serious cash in that car and traded it? And for the love of god they spent all that $$ on mods and out FLEBAY intakes on it :/ WHY..

You see, when you upgrade from 335 to an M3 or M4 what you get is every single part is beefed up and upgraded with performance in mind. When you go from S to IPL what you get is more of the same with some very minor largely visual tweaks here and there. Is IPL better than S model? On paper yes, in reality - no. If I'm demeaning IPL it's because it's a **** poor half-assed effort with little or no input from engineers and a lot of input from corporate.
No we don't have to brusher over it. But like I said, M3 - whole new car with separate engineering department and manufacturing, every part is reworked and stamped with M3 logo to prove it. IPL - same car, same parts, same everything, a few minor tweaks. It may work for some people, but for me it's no more than a joke. I hope they do better next time.

Right now, the M3/M4 are whole different cars, because they are in whole different price brackets. After discounts and such, the IPL was selling for only a few thousand more then a loaded S model.
Most of the time they are giving the IPL's away, here is one with $12k off the sticker price, without any negotiation at all (What I am saying is people are barely even paying a premium for the IPL designation):

If you can find any new M3/M4 of any year with $12k off the sticker, I'll go buy it today.

LMAOOO black series! hahaah thats funny dude its just a IPL with a different front end the older sport bumper and a lip to be precise and some other mods like an unnecessary big **** in the back lol
Aesthetic aside - this isn't my style - I actually think that to the RIGHT buyer this is actually a good buy. Assuming the aftermarket parts are real -- BB thinks they're not - the BBK and Carbon mods alone are worth 6-8k the wheels another 2.5k. There's the hks boost controller which may imply there's a turbo and the audio system. This still doesn't take into account the interior which as I said to the right buyer is worth it IMHO.
The IPL came with 18hp and retuned shocks along with the exhaust plus the available red interior which is not available on the G37 at any price. And that was worth a couple extra grand at the dealership.
