Its quite simple really. treat your fob like your key. And even simpler- all you have to do is have it in your pocket or on your person.
If you lost your fob, the likelihood is that you would have also lost your metal keys- same effect. If you would like to keep your fob attached to all your other keys, just snap it on the ring if that satisfies your desire to have that "old school" feel.

Boy, not me!

My wife and I swap our two cars all the time and I love how the seats, side mirrors, and steering wheel all go into my position when I use my fob.

BTW, the other car is a MB suv and while it has memory seats they cannot controlled by the fob; score one for Infiniti...

In this case I didn't loose the FOB, but it was not operational do to a mishap. If the key still was a key I would have been able to get home at least.

Even if the fob was gone- as in dead battery, wet, fried, whatever, once inserted into the key slot the car should have started. It seems like this situation was a isolated incident as nobody to my knowledge has had any problems with the fobs.

Let's just assume he is into BBW and one rolled over and crushed the fob completely. Can someone just explain if you are able to start the car without the fob...

I'm sure we are all dying to know what had happened to the key fob? But those who say they rather have a key...really? I love the push button start.

*loses key (aka fob) and gets mad that there's no way to start their car*

But if there WAS a way to start it without the KEY (aka the fob) then whenever a thief would use that method to steal a car, it would be seen as a security flaw on Infiniti's part.

You guys make total sense!
