which car should i get?

Hi all,

I've been deciding between BMW 3 series, Lexus IS, Audi A4, and the Infiniti G37. I finally decided on the g37 because it seems like the best in terms of looks/reliability/performance/price between all of the cars listed. So I found 2 around my area.

Car 1: 2010 G37x coupe, 35k miles, $21000
Car 2: 2011 G37xS coupe, 28k miles, $24000

Is it worth it to spend the extra 3k for car 2 which is 1 year younger, sport edition, and less miles? I love the rims on the sport edition and would eventually get it for car 1 if i went with that. 3k is a lot but i feel like in the end it would be worth it, I just want more opinions/input. Also, how realiable are the g37 coupes in general? I hope to drive it 5+ years because this will be my first car purchase ever. Thanks.

You'll have a year longer for the warranty, the nice big Akebono brakes, better wheels, nicer seats, paddle shifters etc. I'd say that's worth the premium.
Reliability on these models is very good FWIW.

Yea there's a lot of perks to the G37xS version.... thanks for your input. Damnit I feel like i can justify paying $3k more but this is my biggest purchase to this point so I'm still thinking on it. Also if it matters, the Carfax on the car 1 has a gap of about 30k miles where the person reported no maintenance whereas car 2 had maintenance done every 3k miles almost. Also, do you think the car can last up to 100k+ miles if i keep up with the maintenance schedule?

I have an 08 S 6MT, with 82k on it and it runs perfectly. With that, I just replaced the tires, battery, oil is changed every 6k (synthetic obviously), rear diff oil was just done along with the manual transmission oil too. So yeah, keep up with the basic maintenance, dont drive it like you stole it all the time and it will treat you well!

I'm very glad to hear this. I keep hearing it's a reliable machine(which is why I chose it over BMW, Audi, Lexus). I hope it can last me a long time

3k is nothing in the long run, for what you're getting for the money. bigger brakes, LSD if you're getting the manual, + the extra year on warranty. and if you plan to drive it a long time, that 7k less miles will help. definitely get the sport

2011 is a must. There are many reasons like stated above. Just know that the sport options alone are more then 3k usually. So having that and a year newer with warranty is very worth the price.

Like others have said- almost a no brainer to get the 2011. I can't imagine the extra 3K will change your payments too much.

I just realized that the Sport seats are different than the standard ones, so be sure you like the feel of them. If so, then this is an open/shut case...get the Sport model.

Sports package is totally worth it. The seats alone are amazing, plus you get a ton of other stuff. If you can't affort extra 3k on 2011, find 2010 with sports package.

wow it looks like everyone is pushing me towards the xSport... looks like I have no choice haha. Honestly the car looks perfect and all I'd do is tint the back lights and maybe the windows a bit and its done. The rims on it are already exactly what I wanted and it has paddle shifters which is awesome.

2011 was the first year for the xS coupe. I held off getting a new ride for a year because of the seats. A big support difference compared to the base seats.
