wow it looks like everyone is pushing me towards the xSport... looks like I have no choice haha. Honestly the car looks perfect and all I'd do is tint the back lights and maybe the windows a bit and its done. The rims on it are already exactly what I wanted and it has paddle shifters which is awesome.
By far the better choice.
Post pics once you get it...

I was in a similar situation and asked the forum members to chime in. They pointed me towards the xS and I'm so glad they did. I love all of the extras that came with the sport model. Good luck and post pics when you get your ride.

Yea it's a pretty good deal but yours is a '12, i'd expect it to be at least 2-3k more. I've always only looked at the g37x coupe and wanted that but then i saw a g37xS one day and fell in love with it. I didn't even know that existed... I hope I can get it..
chiming in late, but as others mentioned, the Sport is well worth the money on these cars. Just wait until you are driving spirited in the canyons and you can feel the quicker steering, easier access to downshifting via the paddle shifters.. Also the bumper sideskirts and wheels just give it that much more of a presence from the exterior.

Skip the sport (if that's why you're getting it). No more horsepower than the regular package. But, it is a year later and has a few less miles. I'd always go with the with less miles and a clean car fax.

Yea less miles and clean carfax really do it for me.. i want to keep this car for a long time so i guess it'd be better

just updating this thread... i wasn't able to get the g37xS that i was looking at but I decided to not settle for the g37x and just wait a bit until I can find another. All your thoughts really helped sway me in that direction
can you explain what you mean by better brakes and steering? Is the normal g37x really that bad? I've only test driven the normal one and it was fine to me. of course, I am coming from driving a honda for the past 5 years so any car woulda been better..

The standard model isn't bad at all and will probably still be a sportier feel than most cars you drive. The S is just a bit more responsive in those areas.
Also has LSD which helps with traction/ handling

The main differences in going from the x to xS would be the air adjustable bolsters and thigh extender, revised sport front bumper, magnesium paddle shifters, 19" sport wheels, aluminum pedals, and Akebono 4/2 piston calipers.

I've been deciding between BMW 3 series, Lexus IS, Audi A4, and the Infiniti G37. I finally decided on the g37 because it seems like the best in terms of looks/reliability/performance/price between all of the cars listed. So I found 2 around my area.
Car 1: 2010 G37x coupe, 35k miles, $21000
Car 2: 2011 G37xS coupe, 28k miles, $24000
Is it worth it to spend the extra 3k for car 2 which is 1 year younger, sport edition, and less miles? I love the rims on the sport edition and would eventually get it for car 1 if i went with that. 3k is a lot but i feel like in the end it would be worth it, I just want more opinions/input. Also, how realiable are the g37 coupes in general? I hope to drive it 5+ years because this will be my first car purchase ever. Thanks.
