Basically all the same things we heard in the q50 redsport reviews. These cars will prove to be great touring cars that you can have some fun in, but they sound like they lost all semblance of a Z car with back seats that the past 2 g coupes have clearly had.

 

The Z is a roadster, ie 2 doors and only a 2 seater; this is a coupe, 2 doors plus extra 2 seats in the back.

 

Is that article legit? like reliable. I hope it's true, I'd buy that so quick. i forget who said it but 50 more hp with a 6mt and or dct

 

Well sh*t, you missed them telling us the car comes with16" brakes which the car completely overwhelms. While testing on wet public roads.

I've actually done this sort of first drive automotive press launch (for Bentley) and the nannies, er, minders keep everything fairly tightly controlled. Really not much better than an extended test drive. Wait for the real tests when the magazines have them for an extended period.

 

 

2017 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport Coupe Review

Not really in-depth but you could still pick up on their disdain for the DAS system.

 

16 inch brakes? Gonna need 24" wheels. Lol

 

Yeah these "launch event" reviews do not tell you much. A very brief ride and they talk about how the ride is "more engaging than BMW" without driving it properly. On the other hand it seems to have a quiet cabin, nice suspension which are nice plusses. And AWD version of RS seems to be doing 0-60 in 4.6.

Hopefully we will see a proper review soon.

 

The only thing I can hear when driving is the sound of the run flats. Although the run flats are better now, there is no replacement for non runflats tires. These cars are a lot better with some Hankook v12 or DWS. Idk why the OEMs insist on runflats.

 

the Z is also a coupe - a roadster has no roof.

 

Is there a standard spare in the trunk or are they going without and using runflats?

 

DAS 2.0 has 7 freaking settings. lol who will have the time to mess with all those options just for steering?

Just the Q50s have the spare tire as an option. Q60 and QX30 don't have it at all.

Unfotunately he doesn't give much in terms of how it drives. Seems awd puts power much better than the rwd because of the lack of LSD, 0-60 is 4.6 and its cabin is quiet. He also mentions that the trunk space is not much.
