2008 Coupe cargo net doesn't fit

Of all the things I expected to have problems with, the cargo net was never one I thought I would have issues with. The problem:

*I have two D-rings on each side of my trunk. On each side there's one D-ring on the side of the trunk towards the wheel well. It's towards the top and works perfect for connecting the net on each side.
*The other two D-rings are on each side, but on the rear of the trunk/car near the tail lights. They are also about a foot in from the side of the car. It's impossible to attach the net to these two clips because they are too far away and the net won't stretch anywhere near as far as it needs to connect these two to the net.
*Even if I were able to connect those last two clips, it doesn't seem like the net would be sitting correctly. The way the net is made it looks like there should be two more D-rings on the sides at the bottom, but there's none there.

So, my question is this - are you supposed to connect the two lower hooks of the net, or just the top ones? Also, everything I've read states that there is only one net, so I'm pretty confident I have the correct net. Do you all have the D-rings in the same places I mentioned above? If so, how exactly are you connecting the net?

hi I had the same issue with my 2012. what you need to do is take a screwdriver and pop off the two rings near the tail lights and switch them with the two clips that are below the other two rings and wallah! the net works I had the same issue. hope it helps...

You know, I was thinking about that when I ran into the problem, but noticed the D-rings have a larger indention in the trunk liner where they go. It's obvious that those D-rings are supposed to go where they were, but I just did what you suggested and it's much better!

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Even if it was a stupid trunk cargo net question!
