It is older than that. They started selling these coupes back in 2007.

And new isn't always better. The G has had time to get rid of any issues and have known fixes. First year productions ALWAYS have an unexpected issue somewhere down the line, just a thought as well. Like I said, my mom has a 4 series and it is a great looking and handling car, but I love my G...period!

Has anyone gone from a BMW to an Infiniti?
Went from a G37 convertible to BMW 435 xDrive back in december. The 435 is definitely faster than my G convertible and like someone has already mentioned, it's very refined. Definetely did not regret my choice to switch over (this coming from someone who never really liked BMWs to begin with). The one thing I do miss, however, is the exhaust note from the VQ engine. With the IPL exhaust and CAI on my G vert, it sounded AMAZING.

But if we're talking about the bang for the buck, I would say the Q60 is the way to go. For the price I paid, I could have probably gotten a fully optioned out IPL, and then some. Only thing I don't like about the Q60 right now is that it has not changed what so ever, they only changed the name. If you can, why not wait for the redesigned Q60 (haven't followed infiniti news for a long time, so don't know when they are expected be out). Don't know about the reliability (heard horror stories but mines been running fine) but BMW gives you 4 years 40k miles of free service maintenance (covers pretty much everything, even brakes and rotors).

Whatever you do, don't go with a 3 series coupe. I just had a 335i xdrive for a week Other than the gadgets inside it was a pig to drive. A 4 series would be fun.... I'm still partial to my G though. I'd stick with the Q60.

My man right here knows how FRESH my 2014 Q60 is hahahaha

Honestly....although its damn near a 7 year old platform....this is my 2nd G.

First and foremost, you cannot compare the interiors. The 2014's have different leather than the previous years and it is very premium. BMW interiors although are high quality, the design is SO boring.

Also, I am happy that I bought the last year of this generation car. Im 6,000 miles in and everything just works flawlessly. I dont foresee a single problem with this car, as every single piece in the car has had 7 years to have the kinks worked out. Yes, the engine can get a bit rough near redline....but its just part of the beast, you just mash it into next gear and let that motor take it. The VQ is a SOLID engine.

Plus....you couldnt catch me dead in a BMW. Snob vehicles
