How Often Do You Fill Up?
I know there are tons of gas mileage threads, but I am curious to know how often you guys fill up. I am usually every 10-12 days and that's at half tank, maybe a little under. I think that is good but I wanna know if that is normal or worse than average. What yall got?

As often as I can and never let it get less then half a tank.
At $4bucks a gal. thinking of doing a full fill can be nerve racking

Funny - that actually costs you more in time and the same in fuel. I always let mine graze empty before filling. Since I started 2/4/6 shifting I'm getting 360+/tank around town (was 320 before).

Seems like every day. This car is a gas pig. I'm just cruising too. No stop light drag racing. I may get 300 miles per tank. Whats that about 15 miles per gallon. I read all the gas mileage threads before I bought the car but figured most have a really heavy foot. Nope. Even with a light pedal gas mileage sucks. My next car will be a hybrid!!! I'm done with psuedo luxury....

every 3 weeks or so, less often if i'm away on business. for my city commute i tend to see 320-330 miles per tank, filling up when or just before the fuel light comes on. i don't go quite as low in the winter since an empty tank causes condensation to water down the fuel.
i also skip shifts regularly. i don't really do it for efficiency reasons, more for practicality if i'm not trying to accelerate quickly. one does not need 6 forward gears for routine commute driving.

I stopped driving mileage after the first week.
As someone in this forum pointed out.
If I was looking to save $$$ on gas and get better mileage look for another car.

As for improving mileage with 2/4/6 shifts, I actually find the car feels quicker and I don't waste so much time cycling the clutch (possible benefit for the CSC as well (lol)).

That presumes a pretty volatile gas price market that I don't see here (unless you try and fill on a Friday/Saturday of a weekend, or worse, a LONG weekend.

Damn I don't feel so bad then! Usually when I fill up its at half or a little past, maybe 265 miles give or take. So in theory I could get 530 miles to a tank. Gas prices are a biotch and the thought of filling the tank from empty scares me...its still 50+ from half!

No ****
Have you ever drove up to a tank and saw some crazy number the person before you paid for gas?
I know for a fact that if I saw that HUGE dollar amount one or twice in a month....
I'd be looking for another car.
