Angry Bubbling sounds and whine - Help

Hi MyG37,

I posted here some time ago and here is the previous thread:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...012-g37xs.html

I got my car back and the body shop did a beautiful job. However, when I drove off with the car, I noticed certain issues:

1. there was a whiny sound present, which sounded like a radiator fan whine. This sound would get lower as I pull to a stop, and get higher as I accelerated. This sound eventually went away by the next day.

2. there was a bubbling, swishing sound which could be heard as i accelerated and decelerated. This sound was coming from behind the dash. I can't fathom what it was. Perhaps the coolant not going through the heatercore?

3. This morning, I had the air conditioner on and as I pulled into my work's parking lot, I noticed that my car was leaving behind a trail of water droplets. As I parked the car, I noticed a puddle of water on the ground under the passenger side.

It has been two days since I have been driving the car. the whiny sound is no longer present, however the bubbling and swishing sound, though not as prevalent as before, is still happening when I accelerate and decelerate.

As per the body shop, they removed the radiator to work on the car, and then put it back and resealed the A/C condenser. There was no radiator damage, however they had to replace/fix one of the radiator supports.

Please, do feel free to share your input. I am really worried for my car. It has only 20k miles on it.

The puddle under the passenger side is normal. That's just condensation.

Thanks, I thought that as well. It was just that it was a fairly large puddle formed within 5 seconds of stopping. I guess I am a little over sensitive after hearing the bubbling and whining sounds and finding fault where there are none.

Sounds like you might have air bubbles in the radiator system and the whining sound could be a hole in the radiator or loose radiator cap, and check and see if the water on the ground is coolant or water from the ac. The coolant hoses for the heater do run into the car from the passenger side.

I am sure that I have air bubbles in the radiator system. The whine has disappeared completely, that is the mystery. A pleasant mystery, but a mystery nonetheless.

I have been checking the coolant level and it seems to be alright.

IS it alright to drive the car till Monday? If I have coolant issues, I am afraid of overheating

Keep an eye on your temperatures, I'm sure you're okay if you're not getting any error codes.

^whs, if you are paranoid and hate the swishing, just get a flush done and get new fluid in there.
