Okay so I have a question. A cousin of mine bought a 2010 Journey G Coupe (with no options). I also have a 2010 G coupe but mine is a 6MT sport model. From what I understand, all 2010s are supposed to come with a USB port. His doesn't, it comes with the older style RCA (I think that's what they're called?) connectors. His display screen also doesn't seem like it's the HD one that comes on the 2010+. Manufacture date is 05/2010 which is actually after my car so it wouldn't make sense that Infiniti used old parts. Instrument cluster is the 2010+ also. In my opinion, the only answer would be that it was swapped out with an older one but the car is in pristine condition and only has 28k miles so idk why and was apparently owned by an elderly person. Anybody care to chime in?

 

2010, G37 Base has RCA. The Journey, X and S only have USB
2011-2012..., just a USB (no more G37 Base model)

 

Trying to piggy back off this, would anyone know if there's a usb port behind the base model radio and all someone would need to do is run the cable through to hookup an iPod/mp3 and be able to control it with the car equipment? Or would you have to buy something like this to do that: iSimple ISNI572 iPod/iPhone and Aux Interface for Select Nissan - Infiniti

I had the iSimple on my 04 Acura and it was great. I was able to use the steering wheel buttons to control my ipod. Definitely a great alternative.
