Warranty about to Expire
Warranty about to Expire
I am the original owner of a 2010 G37 Coupe with 40,000 miles. The car makes a low tapping sound at idle speed. Besides the low tapping sound, any recommendations to encourage the dealer to look at before the warranty expires in 4 months?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

do you have to be the original owner to benefit from the basic warranty? i bought my g 2 months ago and my warranty should expire in about 5 months. i also have an interior trim piece with a peel spot.
Warranty covers the car no matter who owns it. I bought my G just before warranty expired too and had the center console lid replaced because the chrome trim was flaking off. They would not replace any aluminum trim just because it was scratched (said normal wear & tear not covered) but I suspect they would if it was fading or peeling (not normal wear). I have a very light clicking sound when the car is warming up for a minute or so, but have not gotten it checked out.
The power train warranty will cover the rear subframe bushing. I have a 2010 G37, I'm the second owner & the power train warranty is 70,000 miles...I believe 6-7 years, but should check that, I really don't know.
The rear subframe bushing...you can see if the silicone is leaking by just looking under your car from behind (almost as if you're looking at your exhaust) it's what your differential connects to & your wheels. Not the best explanation & I don't have a pic.
I believe it's about a 1,200 job. Prob won't even notice a difference. Whit leone makes a bushing for it, well for the 370 but it works. Get it done under warranty while you can, will prob happen again if you drive hard, then use white lines. For Infiniti to replace it with oem parts, the whole rear subframe gets replaced
