Get rid of the r6, get an r1 or similar. That should take care of your need for speed + you can lane split.

Unless you're going blown or nos, most bolt ons yield minimal gains for the price paid - manual or automatic. The engine is relatively well designed from the get go.

I think its worth it to mod the auto

I made 300 to the wheels with little investment in performance.

My R6 is plenty fast, I assure you!! Open breather box w/ K&N, full headers w/ shorty exhaust and power commander. Without charging the 6, there isn't much more I can do to it either.

If you're used to an SRT8, that was +100 HP more than the G37, then you need to do the TT route.

So you want your wife to drive this, and you want more HP, why didn't you keep the Dodge for the wife to drive??

No I bought the wife a new Subaru Legacy but could afford the legacy and the challenger so I took the hit and got rid of my baby and in turn got the legacy and g37s.

I like my 2012 G37S coupe with a 7AT but I do miss the response I get from a manual transmission. My 91 NSX has only 300 horses compared to the G's 330, but with a 5 speed stick the throttle response is so much quicker than the G even in the manual mode. The NSX also doesn't try to guess what I'm trying to do when I drive aggressively, like braking hard for a corner and switching from 4th to 3rd using heel and toe while braking, I can just power out of the corner with no problems. Often the G's computer thinks I'm trying to slow down too quickly so it shifts down to 2nd, even in manual mode, instead of staying in third and now I'm almost redlining it while powering out of the corner. Not fun, smooth or fast. Otherwise I love the car and yes both cars have been tracked.

Al

P.S. If anyone knows how to get around that last problem of computer interference, please let me know.
