Tomorrow is the day...

My appointment is tomorrow at Z1 to get the 4.08's installed along with new Whiteline Diff Bushings, Uprev tune and install of their Z1 intake plenum. I hope it all goes smooth. I will post up some before and after numbers from the Dyno.

While I am there who knows if I will find anything else to install

Wish me luck!

Yeah, let us know how it goes. I'm interested in the quality of Z1's workmanship. I'm considering using them some time in the near future.

I just saw this this morning. Ill go under the car and see whatthey did.

They guys at z1 are top notch. They knew i drove 4 hours to get my work done but i was there for 11 hours. Altough that sucked just sitting on their couch i know they did the job right and they didnt rush to get me home or so they could get home. Car made great numbers in my opinion. Started at 295 and made itto 320. I dont care about the 320 as much as the 25 hp gain! Ill post the dyno sheet later. You can see it on youtube if you look at z1motorsports g37 jason. Im going back to bed now as it was a long day.

Yes that is it. We'll I left my house to start this adventure at 430 am my time. I didn't get back into my car to make the 4 hour ride home til 8pm. With saying that I haven't really tested her out but the initial driving was a huge difference. I think the combo of the tune and 4.08s was worth every penny.

Ps my mpg on the drive home was 22.7 at an average speed of 77 but I had cruise control on at 82 practically the whole way.

This is not my daily driver. This is just my little toy. But with those mpgs it's could be a daily driver

At 80 mph they were about 3100 on the way there and they were at about 3350 on the way home. Which its a bit louder with the exhaust at the higher RPMs. That is the biggest difference. The sound inside the cabin from the exhaust. Still I would recommend it to anyone with my short experience so far.

If you don't mind me asking, abt how much was the tune and intake work? im seriously considering having them do the same thing to my 13 IPL Vert. they did my gen 3 and when time comes help me lower it a bit too. I emailed then about a price for the HFCs & Intake & tune but havnt heard back yet. know they are probably busy because they are so good.

Intake plenum is 295 plus an hour install and tune was 600. You can install plenum youself but I had to travel to get there and that didnt make sence for me

Call them. . I found too they are terrible with email

Damn was hoping for more top end with the Z1. Unless they started dynoing in SAE and stopped using STD setting.

I actually haven't driven that much. I started another project and then it stalled out so my front end is off and I am waiting for my new headlights and some paint projects to come back. Then I will get to drive it a little and then start the brake project.

From what I have driven its sick though. The car is alive and its pretty scary the pull from what it was before. I wish they would come from the factory with the 4.08's..

I will post the Dyno numbers as soon as John from Z1 emails them... they are awesome but when it comes to emailing they are so slow... ha ha
