That being said everyone will flame me for this, in the spring, I will be ripping the engine apart with the help of Z1 Motorsports (engine build and tuning) and Manley Performance (custom pistons, valves, head work) will be bringing her up the 12.5:1 compression on either E85 or 93 (still debating on which setup will be best, e85 is tempting but sketchy due to poor regulations). YES I KNOW, I'd get more power with FI for the same amount I'm going to spend on this setup. Trust me I'm crazy and have done this to every v6 I've had in the past 10 years. I just love NA made power. The goal is 100whp per liter, but if we make more, oh well. Z1 is pretty excited about this project as its not the normal path. Stay tuned I'll have more the share

Well... yes and no. A respectful stupid question is still both respectful and stupid, so no harm no foul. Another way to look at it is often times mod lessons learned come out of conversation in a way that searching just isn't going to provide.

In so far as I can tell, (and speaking solely of the Sedan forum because IDK about these Coupe guys), but this particular car forum seems very well moderated, and a membership that is mostly non-flamers. (That sounds weird.)

Correct, but I mean the typical "Hey guys I just got my car and really want to get some stuff done to it, what can i do?" or "Hey what CAI can I get for my car".

These to me seem like a "WTF really, you could google search and learn that" type question. MAYBE its from being a mod on the same forum with the same engines all the time you get annoyed.

Everyone on here have been respectful thus far that I've seen. Though you got a few of the guys that go ape **** on complaining when people don't have the most expensive best of the best type stuff... That's typical on every forum though and in every scene, I learned my lesson that the most $$$ isn't always the best choice. All depends on what your building though really...

But I've liked those I've met from the forum on Facebook and at meets already, so I say this forum is "Winning"!

Yeah, we all hate those guys. Welcome to the forum, Numonik.

Subbed to see what else you do with your car.

Awesome ride Numonik!

Hey I have a bone stock car, what CAI can you recommend me? ---I kid, I kid

That NA build sounds awesome too! Will the car be your daily driver or strictly weekend / track toy? Lastly, does your exhaust setup have any drone when cruising on the freeway?

Hey OP... how about the Stillen or B&M STS? Surprised I don't see that in your list.

Future mod?

Its one of my Daily's I have a Is300 I alternate with (bone stock), but I'll have it both on street and track once its done.

No drone sound just a nice loud hum lol.

I put all the dyno sheets together and the best numbers were with the Z1, so for now I'm sticking with theirs.

I'll have to do the clutch in the next 4 months so I'll be doing the shifter at the same time.

No spacer's needed, +35 in the front and +40 in the rear, haven't notice any rubbing. The SPC Camber kit does hit the inner front fenders when hitting a hard bump.

Excellent. Which STS and why, if you please? Looking at what you've done, I'd like to hear your opinion on this.

As of right now the answer to that question would be B&M, mainly because I've used their products in the past, and based on other STS I've seen, theres are actually a true STS and not just a shifter thats had most of the top cut off to make it sit lower. Plus I've heard horror stories with bushings going out in the shifters with other makes, but never with the B&Ms.

Good testimonial there for B&M. Thanks.

Did you research Stillen's STS enough to form an opinion one way or the other, irrespective of the good vibe you have towards B&M?

No I haven't really gotten too involved with those parts yet. When it comes time to drop the cash I'll take a few hours read up on it and make a decision then. Obviously now B&M is the main runner, but I would check out other selections 1st before purchasing.

Obviously I'm a little bias right now, but once I get into the nitty gritty I might find a cheap ebay option that I think is the best. We shall see.
