Only problem I know of in 2008s was the battery drain due to ecu and some valve part.

I took it in for that under warranty but they just tightened up my battery connectors. :/

I ended up buying a trickle charger and hook it up once in a while.

I see some has chrome spoiler and some don't. Are the chrome spoilers on only specific years? I don't like the chrome spoiler actually.
I believe the touchscreen resolution jumped in 2010. The 2010 and up models have streaming options and better capability through bluetooth as well

Not sure on the bumper options but since my 2008 only has the "city lights" and no fogs in the lower bumper ports, it sounds about right.

I've noticed the different spoiler options as well but never came to any solid conclusions. The dealer build sheet on my car specifically lists body color coordinating rear spoiler but have never compared build sheets across different cars so this might be nothing but the dealer spinning up hype on the car. One dealer said the factory puts the chrome spoiler on all the G's but some dealers opt for the body colored spoiler. Another said it was part of the Sport Package on the Journey model.

I'm with you on that chrome "look at my "@$$" spoiler; It just not attractive on an otherwise sophisticated looking car.

Its either not a 2008 or its not a 7AT.

Prove otherwise.

idk I bought it used, the title says 2008 but its a 7at. I can take a picture of the title and set it next to the car showing that it's in 7th Gear. Unless I bought the car and it was stolen or something like that and he swapped the vin or something, whatever they do, I'm not really sure, this is my first G37, my first Infiniti for that matter. Can I put photo on these post?

yeah the vin plate matches the title. I'm beginning to think it was switched. Is there another vin stamped anywhere else? I paid cash that I got from a small settlement for the car, and I would hate to lose it, I love it. So maybe I shouldn't dig too deep, but I still would like to know the exact year so I know what parts to order etc. I really appreciate the feedback.

I also check the one in the window and the one on the door and they all match. Is there one on the motor block itself?

I kno of 2 one on the sticker on door jam and one metal plate under hood on shock tower. Look at examples of the metal ones see if it looks exactly the same. Sticker one I would assume is easy to replicate
