Updated Pics...

Installed my AK grille last weekend, and wrapped the emblem and fog light trim in black vinyl wrap. I like the grille a lot but it was a HUGE PITA to install. None of the bolts that secure it to the bumper lined up with the holes from the factory grille, so I had to drill 5 new holes in order to make it fit. I also had to make a notch in the grille opening because the bottom part of the grille didn't fit flush with the bumper. Of course I didn't test fit it before getting it painted...if I had, I definitely would've sent it back. So even though I was completely disappointed about the fit, I was stuck making it work. In the end I was able to make it work, but I doubt I'll be ordering from AK again.

Wrapping the emblem and the fog light trim was tedious as well. I definitely like how the blacked out fog light trim looks, but I'm not sure I like the blacked out emblem. Maybe if the grille was smaller it would look better, but I think it needs something to break up all the black. So I may be unwrapping the emblem. What do you guys think?

I'd love to paint the headlights black, but I'm super paranoid about screwing it up and getting condensation inside the lens. I also think the wheels need to be flushed out a little so I'll be adding 5mm spacers sometime in the future.

Hey man, everything looks absolutely awesome, You should definitely unwrap the front infiniti logo, it will look sick with the black background, as for the heads, you can get those wrapped in a film as well, not too expensive i believe, but anyway your car is lookin great, good luck!

Thanks man...I appreciate it. I thought about getting the lights wrapped but I'm worried that it'll cut down on light output. I tried the headlight overlays that have the cutouts over the bulbs but they looked cheap. I'll probably just leave them amd keep checkinf the classifieds for a set. I'd gladly send them to Raul, but this is my DD so I cant be without headlights for that long...well I COULD but it would look ghetto as fvck driving around without headlights lol

Looks nice, agree about leaving the chrome Infiniti Logo on the grill. You should DIY the headlights, it's a PITA but no pain no gain right? Should only take a weekend, and if you do, be sure to upgrade to TSX lenses, whole headlight paint, lenses, and butyl sealing tape will be under $100 (with about $600 of YOUR labor, lol).

Just ordered the AK ryou grill in carbon fiber. Makes me nervous to get it and try and install it now. But the car looks great! Personally I'd unwrap the emblem too. It'd really pop on the black grill.

Quick photoshop of the chrome grille emblem...I agree, it looks much better in chrome...I'll be unwrapping it tomorrow

Kevalteam...yea I've been wanting to add a diffuser for a while. I tried BlueBat's vinyl overlay but it just looked like a big sticker and looked kinda cheap. I've looked into the AK diffuser, but I'm worried that it's gonna make the exhaust tips look too tucked in. I'll probably just go to a body shop and have that area painted matte black

Ryno...DEFINITELY do a test fit as soon as you get it. I made the mistake of not fitting it before getting it painted. I could have made a fuss and tried to return it when I realized that it didn't fit right, but then I would've lost the $200 I paid to have it painted.

I asked a few places around here, but nobody will do it bc they are worried about not being able to get a crisp, clean line between the white and black painted areas. They said that if I don't like it, they'll have to repaint the entire bumper. I'm gonna keep looking though

I'm sorry to hear that you went through all this but it was your fault.
The grill fits good and you didn't have to drill 5 new holes.
if the screws doesn't align straight, you can use a flat head screw driver to help them to align.
Why you didn't call ? We could tell you exactly what to do.

We are waiting to have the carbon fiber grill available that way we can make a video with fiberglass and carbon fiber grill, to show "how to install it".. this is a 5-10 min installation. (we should have the video within 2 days)
then, you will see what you did wrong.

Thanks,
Autokits

You could try wrapping/painting the emblem to match the car.

Are you seriously coming in to my thread...that wasn't even meant to bash you or your products and tell me it was MY fault?!? You don't think I tried to move the bolts or reposition them?! You think my first instinct was to drill holes into my car?! The bolts couldn't be repositioned. Like I said in my email to you...in which you blamed me as well...I've done many mods to my car myself, including the installation of the OEM midnight black grille...so no, I don't need to see your video. The problem was with your product, not with the installation.

Ya know, I was gonna be the bigger person and not post a review on the forum because I figured even though it was a PITA to install, it worked out well in the end...thanks to me. BUT since you're so eager to blame it all on me, I'll go ahead and post that review after all. Glad I didn't spend any more money on your products. Not stop wasting space in my thread

Wow. I have no issue with a vendor defending themselves in a professional way, but this was absolutely not that. Really not reassuring to see a customer addressed with this tone.
