Just an FYI for everyone, I ended up buying a set of umbrella pushpins in O'Reilly's (quarter inch) and painted it using the Graphite Shadow retouch paint from the dealer.

Considering that I din't spend much, I'm happy with the result.

Are bumper plugs supposed to be flush with the bumper? Mine stick out a little bit around the edges of the "mushroom" part of the plug. I've tried to push them in more but they won't budge. My plugs aren't painted to match the bumper either. They're just black plastic with sort of a rough finish to them. I'm wondering if the dealership put the wrong plugs in my bumper.

Depending on the bumper, it does not seem to be completely flat on, unless the plugs were custom made for it.

If you want it to match the color of your car I suggest buying the touch up kit from the dealer and paint it. It makes the plugs more ignorable.

My car is Malbec Black, so they sort of blend with the car. The color doesn't bother me as much as the fit, but if that's the way it is, that's ok I guess. I might just order a painted set from BumperPlugs.com later. They look flusher in the pictures.

Nice. bumperplugs.com was my 2nd option. From the pics I saw it looked like i could do it smaller so I went DIY first. Let me know how it goes!

It's hard to tell how big the plugs are in the pictures, but they look a lot more flush with the bumper than the ones I have. I should take a picture of mine and post it for comparison. These come painted to match too, so they'll probably look a lot better than anything I can do with touch-up paint lol.

So I finally remembered to take a picture of my bumper plugs... The picture quality is kinda crappy, but you get the idea. That's as far in as they go. Sucks, right? I think I'll just order a pair from BumperPlugs.com after all. This guy did, and they look Infiniti-ly times better than mine... https://www.myg37.com/forums/3638843-post9.html
