You do realize that you still need to take it to the dealer or someone who's got the proper equipment to program the car/bcm to work together?

id be leery about buying an ecm off ebay, those 2 adds in particular both have G37 hand written on it. makes me wonder how they differentiate the sport vs non sport ecms. i may be wrong, maybe the ecm is the same for non sport vs sport and the difference lies in how its programmed or maybe you do need a special sport ecm. either way your safer with the dealer albeit $200 more expensive.

+1 to what he said, take it to the dealer. This is not a plug and play and needs a ton of configuration/programming using tools not accessible to everyone. Even the dealer themselves may have a hard time getting it to function 100% OEM lol

My guess is the parts are identical but programmed differently.

Btw, the issue is with the BCM (body control module), not ECM (engine control module).

I'm assuming you dont have tech package:

Part Number[F01]: 284B1-1NV7E
Superceded from 284B1-1NG8B

If you give me your vin, I can tell you more accurately.

Either of those will work.

Are you uninsured? Fire is covered by comprehensive coverage in which case most folks have a lower deductible zero deductible.
