This thread prompted me to hunt through my emails to find out what the #'s were back in oct 2011 when I was inquiring. I was wrong with the $1100/$1200 quote.

Thank you for your inquiry! Based off your current mileage these are your options for extending your factory coverage...

NEW G37 w/1000 miles (price and term change once you exceed 6k miles or 6 months from original date of purchase).

@coolbreeze, to see the price only change by ~$20 over the course of 16 months is not bad. They're still making a profit, even with the prices you posted above. I chose to buy from the selling dealer because they matched the price and it was wrapped up into the financing. So come to think of it, I ended up paying even more than $1392 once you figure the finance charges over 5 yrs.

I would definitely go for it with how many miles you have on your car it really isn't that expensive at all and it really is about piece of mine, also if you have any unused warranty left when you get rid of your car that will be refunded to you or be applied to your new car if you are trading your car in.

I just got quoted 1800 for 36mo/48k miles but I just went over 40k miles if I had done it before i went over 40k I would have only had to pay about 1200-1400, so I missed out and wished I had done it before it went up to 1800, so don't miss out and act early on it

Just put the money you would spend on a warranty in an interest bearing account. If your car breaks, then use the money in the account to pay for the repair. Infinitis are very reliable so this is not a high risk approach.

I think this price is very reasonable. Infiniti's seem to be pretty reliable but paying this price for the piece of mind is worth it at least to me. I think I'm going to buy this tomorrow. Also, with the interest rates nowadays, I might as well put money under my bed .

Thanks, All.

Princess, I'd definitely go for it... pay 1.1k will save you a lot of time if you run into problems..Let's say your nav screen stops working, you will have to go to mechanic, let them inspect it, pay them to inspect it, wait a long time for them to order your parts..etc...Infiniti dealership will feel like home. DO IT!

I got ripped off when I bought my car, dealer included a $3500 plus tax warranty which lasted for 24k. We never spoke about a extended warranty at all because car was at that time covered by original factory warranty. I had to go to small claims and a bunch of other non sense to get it off, so price around for your warranty.

At this point, I'm leaning towards the 0 deductible 60 mo, 60 or 70 k mileage. Not too bad! Thanks guys!
Princess, I am in the same situation at the moment. I have a 09 G37S with low miles at 16k and looking for around the same quote as you. Wondering who you contacted for those prices. Thanks!

There are some good extended warranties if you are financing through you bank, I recommend going with your credit union or banks' extended warranty program, legit programs will also have warranty buy back which mine has. So if after 4 years I don't ever use my warranty they will refund me what i paid. If I use it once for even something small then no dice.
