G37 Accessibility

Hey guys, relatively new to the forum, just been observing everything I can about this beautiful car! I plan on purchasing a 2011 G37S in the spring when I'm back from school.

Question is... Has anyone had any experience with adapting this car (Hand-Controls, pedal guard,etc...) for a handicapped driver (more specifically for a paraplegic)?

This will be my first car purchase since my injury, it's been four years of hard work to get to the point I'm at, and so this car will definitely be babyed (Cleanliness, def not in performance!) I'm so stoked, anyone got any ideas?

Welcome to the boards! Not entirely sure if my post will be of much help, but in light of your question -- I went from a sedan to a coupe this last month. All in all, the coupe specifically seems to be a bit more roomier than the sedans. The hand controls (ie steering wheel, shifter, gauges) are well mounted; the steering wheel and the gauges move in unison. Pedals and all the ***** are all within a reasonable distance from the driver seat -- no need to move excessively to change the mirrors, etc.. You'll love the car! Best of luck finding an '11!

^Yea from the searching I've been doing '11 S models especially are hard to find! I took my dad with me for the test drive and he fell in love with the car as well.. Might have 2 G's in the family before long

And I'm definitely going for the coupe, longer doors, backseat size is half decent and the lines are just so much nicer than the sedan IMO...
